We concluded our anniversary weekend with a delightful breakfast at Ellyngton’s, and it was the perfect way to cap off a wonderful stay at The Brown Palace. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere inviting, and the service was consistently outstanding—a hallmark of this hotel.
The live music created a serene and sophisticated ambiance, while the staff’s attentiveness ensured that every detail was taken care of. Our coffee cups were never empty, thanks to the team’s unobtrusive but ever-present care.
I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs Benedict, which were flawlessly executed, and my wife raved about the hearty and flavorful oatmeal. Both dishes were beautifully presented and reasonably priced, making the meal an incredible value.
Ellyngton’s offers a breakfast experience that’s as refined as the rest of The Brown Palace. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and can’t recommend this gem enough for anyone seeking a relaxed yet elegant start to their day.

We came to celebrate our anniversary, and were extremely disappointed and underwhelmed :( The remodel has really taken away from the elegant and nostalgic vibe we all knew and loved. Stark and sterile, nothing special anymore. The food was fine, but no better than you can get at any other restaurant, really. Our server was great at first, but then became extremely inattentive after food was dropped- we waited 20 minutes without being checked on. We had to flag down the busser to ask our server if we could get a box and the check. The server came to the table next to us and while taking their order, put down our check. No box. We didn't want to wait any longer for the box, so put down cash and left.
I will say the Bloody Mary was fantastic.

Not what it used to be. The ambiance was amazing. You actually felt like you were eating in a place that hadn't been affected by time. And the spread...it never disappointed. Now, it's another basic breakfast place with zero character or charm. Sadly enough, the food quality has gone down as well. I felt like the cooks did what they could, but the quality of the ingredients was sub par. For over $100 for 2 people, I was extremely disappointed and won't ever be going back. Sad to have a piece of Denvers history ruined...

Food was great overall we had the all American breakfast and the French toast. Service was well below average. The two host made as a reservation at 10:45 when we came in at 10. We came back at 10:45 and they proceeded to make us wait another 30 minutes while they sat other people even though we had a reservation.

Place was completely empty but the trash hostess claimed that the kitchen was backed up and made us wait an hour past our reservation time for overpriced subpar food

Went for brunch with some friends and what a disappointment. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered an omelet (not on the menu) and asked for tomato, onion, Mushrooms and cheddar, well cooked. It tasted and looked like powdered eggs, the cheddar was not melted, the onions were still raw and no mushrooms.
I also asked for a side of fruit that was not delivered with the meal; had to ask for it again. When it arrived, the fruit was definitely not fresh.
My friend's orders were not much better. There are much better brunch spots for way less money. I will not be going back anytime soon.

It was our second time attending their Christmas brunch and it will absolutely be the last. How the hell are you going to charge $125 per person and not even include a raw bar? The food tasted like it was old and dry. The server was all over the place and even spilled a drink on our table/near my purse. The only decent thing was their dessert section. Overall, it was embarrassing and you can't help but walk away feeling like you got scammed. I had a res to go to their high tea this Sunday but promptly cancelled it; I can't stomach giving them any more money than we've done already. I heard management had changed hands and you can tell. I've stayed here twice in the past and am even a Marriott Platinum member but I will never be back and certainly won't recommend any of their restaurants. Atrocious.

Went there for Christmas Eve buffet..Total disaster. Started with my daughter not be able to park there with children. The attendant said with an attitude NO more spots. I asked him very polite if he can check to see if one opened and he said NO!.. Parking cost $32. Before going to the buffet I called three times to make sure they were serving omelets and pancakes (for kids) and was told yes. And NOTHING!. I paid $125 each and $45 -50 each for my grandkids. They should be ashame the food was very blend.. I asked the server for a middle slice of prime rib and he pushed a burned piece. SERIOUSLY! Total bill $1200 and the kids had one waffle and one french toast each and few pieces of fruit. Thank goodness Santa was there. My advise SAVE YOUR MONEY NOT WORTHY. Go to IHOP.

I brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday and we were so disappointed! I expected way more from Ellyngtons! I've been there for the Sunday brunch years ago and it was amazing but this time it was horrible! The buffet was $75per person so I had high hopes that we would have a great meal but that was not the case. The hot food was cold, the cold food was hot and everything had been sitting out for some time and had developed a crust..yuck! The prime rib was something my husband was especially excited for but sadly it was very cold, overcooked, dry and tough. What have you done to the prime rib?? The food options were very basic and not at all the quality I've come to expect from Ellyngtons! We were also seated next to the staff beverage station so we had employees bumping into our table every few minutes to refill beverages for other guests. Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience and way too expensive for such poor quality! Also noteworthy, the valet will cost you another $32 and you will have to wait an eternity to get your vehicle. The Brown has lost it's charm and we will not be back. Don't waste your time or money!

We stopped in for breakfast this morning and were seated by a very friendly hostess. There were musicians playing which was an unexpected but a pleasant surprise. Our server Hal was super personable while also being professional. I ordered the breakfast nachos (the barbacoa was really good and the portion was huge). My husband had the All American and enjoyed it. Our coffee and waters were refilled numerous times by Sammy, she was delightful. We were staying at the hotel for a little staycation and will definitely be returning.

Top notch breakfast spot! I really can’t think of any complaints. The atmosphere was great, the place seemed to be newly remodeled and it looked really good. Our servers were super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I got the breakfast burrito which I would definitely recommend you try. Overall just a great experience. I’ll certainly be coming back.

The food was good nothing over the top. Defiantly liked when they had the Buffett better but the service was the best service I have had in a long long time. They went over the top to make brunch special.
We had such a wonderful time at Ellyngton's. Dawa provided us with 5-star service and made our Anniversary brunch very special. So special we came back the next day for Brunch again and were greeted with beautiful flowers at our table. The entire staff were kind and smiling each making our time there feel personable. We enjoyed delicious food and champagne. We will most certainly be back. Thank you, Dawa for an amazing experience!
Loved the old look. The new walls make it look very sterile in a bad way. I used to take my out of town guest here because of the beauty of it. Now it’s very average looking & the food is not as well made but the service is still outstanding.
