I was overall disappointed. The photos on line apparently are from a while ago, they showed very nice decor, elegant looking. Now it's drab. White walls, light colored floor, it had a “cold feel” to it. Looked like card tables with black tablecloths thrown over them. No nice small table center piece. The food was ok, service was very good. The three piece band was a nice touch but a bit loud. Disappointed for what I expected to experience at a Brown Palace restaurant.
Overall, we had a great experience. I was VERY disappointed to learn that Sunday brunch is no longer served as it used to be prior to COVID. My sole choice in choosing Ellyngton's was to enjoy the fantastic brunch they used to serve. The wait staff was exceptionally courteous and made sure our bill was properly adjusted when they learned our food was not delivered correctly. The food was incredibly good, served hot, and in a timely manner.
The service was very good. The food was okay bread was stale. The main issue is how sad it is to see that an iconic and historic Denver hotel is in such DISREPAIR!! The woman's restroom had missing bathroom sink handles, broken latches, holes in the door frame, etc., etc. Very, Very SAD and inexcusable!!
Great table, great service, delicious food-omelet, sourdough toast, fresh juice and coffee. Perfect breakfast. Thank y'all.
My husband had a very long, black hair in his food. The server apologized but left his sides on the table to get a new dish. So they got cold while he waited for the replating. I had to ask to have it removed from our bill. I expect more from this class of restaurant.
For a $100/person buffet, comparing it with the famous Las Vegas Vegas buffets at Bellagio, Caesar's and Wynn, the menu was lacking.....not enough variety. Otherwise the overall am once was good. Shekhar
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Jazz music was fantastic. Great Sunday brunch buffet, delicious.
Excellent special experience as always. Great spot for good food and conversation. Friendly attentive service.
Ellyngton's used to be my treat yourself breakfast go-to. It had such a old world feel, and the oscar omelet was something unique that most breakfast places did not offer. The all white remodel and generic menu have made me look for other options in Denver. I've been back once or twice but have mostly been disappointed. I'm not surprised it's 3.7 star rated.

The service was delightful. All of our food was terrific. The sausage bacon bites were the best bite on the table for sure. The live music was lovely and it felt like a very special breakfast to celebrate my friend's birthday during our stay at the Brown Palace Hotel.

Not very hospitable and the food wasn't very good either...it seemed like they wanted me to buy mixed drinks or wine, but I just don't like alcoholic beverages!
Hey but your wait staff was very kind to me! I can say that!

The staff made my 83 year old mother feel so special on her birthday. Thanks for your patience and kindness
Breakfast was great there!! A very diverse menu, and everything we ordered was wonderful! The wait staff was very attentive, refilling coffee all the time without having to ask for it. Our waiter, Hal, was really nice, and we enjoyed chatting with him. All in all, it was a great way to start our day!! Congrats, Hal, you are a perfect waiter!!
We thoroughly enjoyed six breakfasts (including one by room service) during our stay in the Brown Palace. Each time we were immediately warmly welcomed with hot coffee and glasses of ice water. The menu has an appealing variety. The Denver omelet is perfectly cooked with just the right balance of ingredients. Huevos rancheros was another favorite, hearty, perfectly seasoned, not too spicy. (Hot sauces come to the table with the food.) We liked the biscuits and gravy (we asked for gravy on the side) and the waffle and French toast. The burrito is a delicious hearty choice, big enough to share. Accompaniments include choices of seasonal fresh fruit (generous portions), potatoes, or arugula salad—an unusual breakfast item that was surprisingly tasty. Saturday and Sunday mornings feature pleasant live music. We like the light, airy, open ambiance. Large windows provide a view of the streets; tablecloths and cloth napkins are in keeping with the gracious service. We cannot say enough good things about the team service: servers Hal, Dawa, and Jenny; assistants Darcy and Sammy; hostess Emma; Souvik; food and beverages director Ed Tracy; and others whose names we did not get. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and quick to come with hot coffee or clear empty plates.
