Saved up to take my girlfriend here for a special occasion. Waited way too long but that's okay. But truthfully, this was one of the worst steaks I've ever had served to me. Every bite was mercilessly tough to chew. Such a bummer. Speaks volumes about the quality control going on here. 4.3 stars for 1.2k reviews is legitimately concerning btw! Serving a decent steak is not rocket science. You're better off cooking at home for a third of the price.

The food is good. The view is down town inside. The atmosphere is wood. I recommend the ribeye and asparagus. You should ask to be seated by the wine wall room. It's not a big menu.

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton for the New Year's holiday, my wife and I made reservations for dinner at Elway's (located in the hotel) on NYE. While we had dined here before, we knew making a reservation for a holiday meal was the way to go so that we didn't find ourselves without an opportunity for a decent meal. We arrived downstairs about 10 minutes ahead of our reservation time, and were invited to sit in the bar for a drink while we waited for our table to be ready. We each sat back, and relaxed with a Blackberry Smash while the smooth sounds from the saxophone player in the bar helped to set a great vibe. Regrettably, we didn't wind up getting to sit down in the dining room until about 20-25 minutes after our reservation time and were seated at a table against a dusty wood panel that rubbed off on my sweater. Fortunately, this would prove to be the low point of the evening as the service from our waiter, Scott, was excellent and the food followed suit. Beginning our meal with the Cold Tower that featured shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, and ahi tuna tartare we were off to a great start. The tuna tartare is a go-to order for me here as it is consistently delicious, but the real surprise here was the crab cocktail that had a delicious remoulade/sauce that really worked with the crab meat to create a rich, satisfying bite. We paired this with a glass of Pouilly-Fume that Scott recommended, and were not disappointed. After this we each opted for a bowl of French Onion Soup, as it is always a favorite, especially during cold weather months. While the soup was very good, the cheese on top did taste as though it was a bit scorched or burnt which was not as favorable. For our main courses, I went for the Dry Aged New York Strip (medium rare), my wife had the Filet Mignon (medium), and we shared the Mashed Potatoes as a side. We also ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir from the list, and were disappointed that it was not available, but Scott came up big here with another great wine suggestion that worked perfectly. Both steaks were very good, though both seemed as though they were not done to the requested temps with mine looking closer to rare and my wife's looking closer to medium rare. Not too big a deal, and hardly worth sending them back for as we were already starting to feel quite full, but still not quite what was expected. This restaurant is now being remodeled, and will be closed for the next few months as the work happens to bring the new vision to life. I'm looking forward to coming back for more good food, drinks, and to see the new look!

Upscale dining. $$$. Great for a date night. Total time from sit down to leave; 2 hours. Reservation required on busy daysPros: Valet $15, great service, top notch food including steaks and fish, a nice selection of wine and drinks(non alcoholic, Pepsi products, juice), kids menu, nice bar area, lots of seating, live music on special occasions.Cons: the bathrooms are outside of the restaurant, parking isn't close if you don't valet, we found it chilly and kept our jackets on.Try the Lamb chop fondue appetizer10/10 would recommendKid-friendliness: Kids allowed, kids menuWheelchair accessibility: No stairs.

From Josh the bartender to Jeff who delivered our food and especially Tess, our waitress, we couldn't have asked for anything better! The restaurant was packed but all were in a very festive mood which of course us contagious. A wonderful way to end 2023 and look forward to 2024!! Thank you Tess and Elway's.

I had a new year eve reservation for 6 , service was very slow and impersonal. I had Filet Mignon cook to perfection and tasty , sides were very small and average in taste. Wine list ridiculously overpriced and be prepared to served the wine your self . They should be better options in Denver than Elway

I am so glad my sister got me a gift card for Elways. The food, the staff, and the environment were all great. I got the Bone In New York Strip and this was one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life!

The initial round of cocktails took almost 30 minutes. The waiter was nice but had way too many tables. My original Filet Oscar was served cold and then very rare on the second attempt. I was not able to eat it at all. The waiter was good given the circumstances but we could tell the restaurant was closing for remodeling the next day. It was not a good value and our group was very surprised and disappointed.

This was our New Year's Eve dinner. Extreme disappointment. $70 steak was undercooked even after sending it back. Asparagus was colder than the steak. Fried squash was good. Ambiance? Not so much. Wish I had my $200 back.

It was great service from I think Josh the bartender who poured me Elway's Chardonnay, to my 20 ounce Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce with our server Tess who was great also.. thank you helping us bring in the new year 2024...

Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the service that was provided. Everything was smooth until we asked to split the check. The server had to loop the manager in and then the manager screwed it up. I confronted him and he reacted back to me in a way that was not customer service focused. I expect more from a well known establishment. Once they got busy it was as if we didn’t exist as we had an early dinner reservation. Bad first taste in my mouth although the food did actually taste good. Moral of the store was that service was horrific and a big turn off.
