I'm not the best ice cream connoisseur, but my husband and brother-in-law are seriously discerning when it comes to ice cream. They both agree that Em's is the best ice cream in Denver. I've watched my brother-in-law take down a waffle cone from Em's, then walk back inside, buy a different flavor, and do the same thing over again. We buy many pints of burnt brown sugar and salted caramel for Thanksgiving to have with our apple crisp, and just had the truck at our block party! Simply THE BEST!

Discovered them at the Lavender Festival. I got the burnt brown sugar and honey lavender together. I’d never heard of burnt brown sugar ice cream and felt compelled to take the adventure.
I took a bite.
Woah! Is this too strong? Wait. No. I love it!
The two paired brilliantly, and the burnt brown sugar was strong and delicious. I’ve thought about it a significant amount of time since then (ask my wife, I’ve explained it multiple times and she was there with me). One might call it life changing.
Anyway, it’s delicious and you should support them. It might change your life, too.

The vegan red berry flavor is so so good. As someone who is dairy-free, I’ve had a lot of vegan ice creams and this one is up there as one of the best I’ve had all summer. It’s creamy and fruit forward without being too sweet. My husband got the mint chip and said it was also very good. We will definitely come back!!

Pretty frustrating to walk 15 minutes with the dogs and kids to get ice cream and discover they closed 2 hours early. Unfortunately this isn’t even the first time we’ve had trouble with inconsistent hours here. We walked home and drove to Dang, which is probably what we’ll do from now on.
