On busy corner just off Colorado, across from Trader Joe. The food was very good, authentic. I guess it would be what down-home real thai food taste like. Erawan would get much more business if owner hires a waitress and stay in kitchen and cook, which he does excellently. Also he should remove the clutter around the cashier station, and pipe in some music. Instead of doing it all himself. Guarantee he will get much more business.
Erawan Thai Cafe has been a Denver staple for a long time! The owner, Art, takes much pride in his cuisine, and provides individual service to each table, ensuring the customers are enjoying the food and providing some cultural information about Thailand. We had one of the curry dishes and a vegetarian plate, with the Tofu that was crispy on the outside and held the flavor of the garlic sauce. One the best pad Thai's I've had in Denver. The wheat noodles are soft and chewy, the chicken is char broiled and delicious and there's enough vegetables to give textural variety without overwhelming the noodles and the chicken. I asked for it to be moderately spicy because I like my food to have a bit of a kick and the heat was perfect, enough to give it heat without it overwhelming the delicious peanut flavors.
