Highly recommend. Our waiter was super funny and recommended a nice sour. It was a pretty tame sour, but not bad. Their white pizza is YUM.

I used to enjoy popping in from time to time and having some food or drinks at Ernie's. May 3 I popped in to meet a friend for a glass of wine. Things started off well enough, the bartender was perfectly friendly. My friend and I chatted, and everything was as it always has been on every other occasion I had been there. The bartender asked us if we wanted a second glass of wine. As it was only about 830 in the evening, we decided to go ahead and have one more glass. My companion and I popped outside and were chatting outdoors for about 7 to 10 minutes. The bartender came outside seemingly irritated and told us that we needed to come in immediately and pay our tab because they're closing. I thought that perhaps I had stopped paying attention to the time and it was late. I looked at the clock on my phone and it was only 10 minutes after nine. They're usually open until midnight. When we get inside, the bartender who clearly was still irritable, proceeded to let us know that most of the staff had quit because of the upcoming renovation. Having worked in the service industry, I am painfully aware of how frustrating it can be when one works long hours, or the place is shortstaffed. It's extremely stressful. However, I would never think to take it out on the patrons. I felt as if that was exactly the case. I don't know if I will be returning following their renovation. We literally got kicked out because the staff was mad. Caveat emptor.

Closing for remodeling apparently. Bartender said they're supposed to reopen late summer. Also said no more skeeball when they do. :-(

I wasn't disappointed per say, but it definitely didn't match up to the hype and experience that I had expected based off of other reviews and a friend's recommendation. We got there (two of us) and it took quite a while to even get some water and then our waitress was apparently "unavailable at the moment" which is what we were told after one of the other guys came by 10min later. Good quality food, but I would rather have gone somewhere else for the price knowing I could get something just as enjoyable along with a place that is not understaffed.

This is our neighborhood go-to for a great dinner. The pizza is pretty good. I always get a pear and goat cheese salad, my favorite. Excellent wines for a small collection that are reasonably priced. Great place for large parties, happy hour, and family dinners. Skiball in the back for kids. Always great service and prompt.

I just started eating here and think the pizza is great and the staff are fun and friendly! Huge thin crusts, fresh tasting sauce. Clearly the garlic knots are something I need to try next time. Love the reviewer complaining about the gluten-free crust, somehow I doubt this person has been going here long enough to judge the degrading quality with his gluten allergy and this being an Italian restaurant.

I love Ernie's!!! I have loved it going on to ten years now. Management and staff, not to discount the ol' Ski Ball Lanes, have all come across as genuinely authentic, as well as authentically genuine. Its feels like home in a good way.

So delicious!!! We have loved this place for many years. The garlic knots are like little pillows of happiness. The pizza is so fresh. We had Trevor waiting on us today. He was so nice and professional. We try to stop by here when we are in the area. The pizzas are huge !

Amazing pizza, apps, happy hour, drink menu. I've never had a bad item at ernies and I've been there a lot since it's within walking distance of me. They are super friendly and hospitable. One time they messed up my entree and comped my entire order just to make up for it. Their pizza, especially the white base pizzas, are super delicious. Their apps are ALL delicious and have a good variety to offer. If you're here on tuesdays, try the Italian nachos and thank me later. They even offer a great deal on drinks if you pop in during a snow storm. Great ambiance and atmosphere keep me coming back!

Take Out Order Concerns - Becareful if you order any hot pastas from Ernie's. We love the food at Ernie's however the last couple times we have ordered take out, their containers melt that they put their pasta in and you literally eat plastic (see pictures). The containers leaks everywhere and is extremely disappointing when you get your food home and can't eat it. You can see black plastic all over the food. Not good!

Coziest neighborhood restaurant around. Amazing staff and super amazing bartenders. Great pizza, ask for it crispy! My favorite thing on the menu is probably the Spaghetti Bolognese, it's killer!

Garlic "Crack" Bread & an IPA. Also try their Spaghetti w/ Meatballs. It was amazing!

Great pizza. Went at 9:00 pm on a Thursday. Not too busy, great music channel/playlist, quiet enough where the 3 of us could have a conversation. Will definitely be going back.

I enjoyed this place on a ladies night/special day for a friends birthday. The pizza was great. My only problem is that for some reason the $4.00 special was not given to me and I didn't notice until too late. I did somehow not get my debit card back from them, but they held onto it and made sure it was mine when I came to retrieve it.

Service staff: mediocre at best. It appears that they are so ashamed of their food that they don't even want to check on their patrons. Food: one word : awful. Ordered the "crack" bread. Cut it in half and it was FROZEN in the middle. Obviously not homemade or fresh. Second time around it was luke warm. As an entree I ordered the chicken parm. It was $16. The portion was worth $8. I usually order chicken parm anywhere and there are leftovers. Not here. The friends with me got the Alfredo which was $11 and was half as much as I would have expected - he finished it in 5 minutes. The other got the baked ziti and it wasn't hot. I'll never come back here and I live 2 blocks away. Too bad. I'd love to have a good restaurant in the neighborhood.
