The music was way tooloud. The food isn't all that good. When asked about the drinks, we were told they didn't have one. I wouldn't go back sadly. All that was worth getting was the spam with seaweed and that can be made at home.

Fun place, especially if you're in your 20's, it's super young and filled with college kids... the bartenders are okay, the servers are terrible. But the vibe is fun and there are a lot of outside options that keep us coming back. The food, especially the smoked wings are amazing!!

This place is so fun! Love a good tiki bar vibe. This is the other restaurant connected to Recess, and what's even more fun is that you can order from both menus no matter where you are! I love the Hawaiian theme to FieldTRIP - it's definitely a unique option in Denver. I ordered the chicken sandwich from Recess when we went, but my husband ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry from FieldTRIP, and he loved it! They cook everything with authentic flavors & a little style too. Plus they have super fun drinks/cocktails if you're interested in that. Great patio too - this place has it all!

The good: The walls and the silverware were very pretty! The staff was nice. The vibe seemed very party like. The bad: the rice?! Just plain rice served with main dishes and in the other dishes was very very dry. It made it off putting to eat the musubi, the rolls, and thank goodness the burnt ends had some sauce to cover up some of the dry rice. Maybe it was an off day, but to mess up on rice I think is a sign of how the other food may be cared for and thought out. I saw another review of someone seeing this place on TikTok, and while I have not, I think it is not necessarily for the food but for the fun walls and party vibes, unfortunately.

I was admittedly a bit hesitant to try such a new place but I did not regret it! The food was actually amazing, I really enjoyed it. The servers were very attentive and service was fast. I would happily recommend this place to anyone.

We ate here on a Saturday evening with my 2 year old. The service was awesome, the food was legit, and the atmosphere was super fun!! We hope to be back again soon!!

Really great food, everything came out so fast too we were shocked. One of our new favorites for sure!

Fun little side bar. Food is unique and tasty... Has a Hawaiian feel to it.

Placed an order for pickup and got the loco moco. Couple bites in I realized it’s not fully cooked. Yikes.

Solid Pan Asian delicacy. Was tempted to get the Japanese katsu curry but instead got the Loco moco and pork. So good. Spam musubi/onigirazu was good too.

We loved this place. We happened to be walking by and decided to stop. We got the slushy drink and some spam and hash! Both really good! Super fun atmosphere. Would recommend! Fun little spot.

Just eh. I ordered a spicy marg and it was so hot the waiter saw it on my face. They don’t have much to chose from and i have a feeling just staying over at Recess would be a better vibe.

The garden is very nice and the beer and drinks menu is pretty good. The service was pretty good also, very hard not to recommend the musubi and the loco moco!

fieldTRIP and Recess (they share a large patio) have a TON of potential but unfortunately fall short.Drinks:They have a decent selection on par for the area. Beer was crisp, clean and cold no complaints here.Food:Had the rolls which were okay, served with three sauces that were pretty hard to differentiate besides the one that I think was BBQ sauce. Burnt Ends were quite disappointing. They weren't undercooked from a safety standpoint but think they could be smoked for another hour or two as they weren't as crispy or "burnt" as someone who's previously had burnt ends would expect, really enjoyed the macaroni slaw they came with.Atmosphere (Patio):Huge patio space with many different levels and seating arrangements, definitely a cool layout that makes you feel like truly being in a backyard location. They had a ton of heaters but think they could do with more shade/umbrellas.Service:Servers were decent, kitchen was slow on an off time, think I'll stick to drinks and light apps in the future. The biggest turnoff for me is that they don't allow dogs on the main patio after 3pm Friday and Saturday. I understand the motivation but wish it was a 5pm cutoff as I love to take my pup on a walk and stop at some place for a late lunch/early dinner between the rushes and this kinda prevents that at Recess/fieldTRIP. They apparently allow dogs at all times on their street level patio but it's not very visible from the main restaurant (I would imagine service there is even worse) and you don't get much of the other atmosphere benefits like music and other people.
