This place was incredibly amazing. The food is fresh, you can see the kitchen from your seat and see all the live action. Oysters are to die for! And some of the best mussels I've ever had from a restaurant.

Seafood restaurant known for oysters in downtown Denver. We came for a birthday celebration and the oysters were a hit(so much so I didn’t get a photo). I think that was the highlight of our food experience.
For appetizers, we got multiple different types of oysters as well as calamari. I was not a huge fan of the calamari. It was lots of oily breading, but the dipping sauce was good.
For drinks, we tried some wine pairings as well as the happy hour. Would highly recommend coming for happy hour for some cheaper oysters and drinks.
For mains, we had multiple people get the crab stuffed cod, this I was also a fan of the crab was delicious. One person also ordered the scallops and they said they were perfectly cooked.
This place was expensive and I personally didn’t think the main dishes werent worth the price, but the oysters definitely were.

We got the salmon, calamari and shrimp. All above average. The salmon was a little bit under seasoned. We also got drinks. The Tini was really good. We finished with the key lime pie. It was ok, but a little too sweet and definetly not what i was expecting since there is a big hype around it. The buscuit layer if the cake was terrible. They need a make over of it

My daughter and I have been to fish n beer on multiple occasions and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in the area, until last night.
With the exception of the smoked fish dip and the scallops, which were perfection as usual, we were stunned to find that many of the dishes lacked seasoning and flavor, falling far below your usual standard. We were shocked that we had to asked for salt and additional seasonings to enhance the flavor of dishes that used to be outstanding the moment they were placed on the table. Last night, those dishes were the Bass (which is the most expensive item on the menu), the mussels, and the ceviche which were all truly tasteless.
We have always loved your restaurant and raved out it to friends and family. We don't know what happened, but we hope that you bring all your dishes back to their original standard. We'd love to come back, but we don't plan on it if something doesn't change.
I was visiting Denver with a friend and had a hankering for grilled fish and vegetables. I decided to choose this place instead of Water Grill, no regrets!
We came for the Alamosa grilled bass, but ended up enjoying the crab stuffed cod and grilled oysters more, even though the bass was still fantastic. So that's really saying something LOL. The key lime pie martini was great! I had to stop myself at 1, otherwise I'd order like 5, but I wasn't driving so like whatever. Maybe next time.
The only thing we had a tiny bit of trouble with was getting a table. We called 30 minutes ahead to see if we needed a reservation. They said on the phone that they'd probably have a table open by the time we got there, so we wouldn't have to make one - but when we arrived, they asked if we had a reservation, as there were no tables available. It wasn't a huge deal, because we got sat at a community table right away, so that's why I'm keeping the 5-star.
I definitely will be back the next time I'm in the area!

Fish N Beer was perfect for our date night. Great food, amazing service, and friendly ambiance. Anna, our server, had the best recommendations for food and wine. We enjoyed the crab fritters, salmon, and crab stuffed cod. Also the wine was delicious...not sure what its called but it was a white wine with fruity notes and a crisp finish! Will definitely be back! Highly encourage making a reservation. Ours was at 8:30 pm and the restaurant was full, but we were seated right away.

The host was so sweet and was able to get us in at the bar without a reservation on a busy Friday night. I really appreciated how accommodating he was. The atmosphere is so fun- the music was great and everyone is so lively. The food was great- the fried fish is wow! Attached a photo of my Caesar and smoked fish dip. Thanks for a great night!

The Alamosa Bass whole fish is super good. You probably won’t find a better whole fish experience in the rest of Denver metro area. The fried calamari was a bit too thin and chewy, though. I suggest they improve it a bit.
I had a reservation but they still seated us at the end of the restaurant, hence the low rating i am giving them on Service. I saw nicer tables in the front that were available and they didn’t seat us there.

Fish N Beer has stood the test of time for a reason. Its consistently one of thr best places for seafood in Denver, and the happy hour menu can't be beat. If you're in RiNo, by far one of my top recommendations.
