The food was excellent and my first visit with my brother in law. Absolutely loved the Flautas that I could’ve ordered more! I used to work at the State office on S. Lamar Blvd., but it wasn’t there when I worked at the office. Unfortunately, it was the evening that my brother in law and I left Austin as I was helping him move to Denver where I live. I wish this place would turn on the AC as it was about 96 degrees outside on Sunday,June 9th. When I’m visiting Austin in the near future, I’ll definitely go to La Pila!

This place looked interesting and I'm always interested in small family owned restaurants.It did not meet expectations.The menu is extremely limited, little selection.As others have said, it was also overpriced.$15 for 4 flautas with very little meat inside.The beef was also bland and dry.The ladies were nice enough, but the food just wasn't good.

Flautas are good as well as the other food options, they are made for you on the spot. There is also a salsa bar that has plenty of good options. The only thing i was disappointed on was the prices! If you are trying to get authentic flautas from Juarez, FB market has plenty of options.
