Fontana has great food. Super fresh fish with really delicious and unique chef special rolls. Also very reasonably priced. Went to SushiDen the week before. While SushiDen is a much nicer restaurant, I found the service and food way better at Fontana
Parking is a nightmare but when you get inside, the food is really good.

Fantastic meal at Fontana! This 25 year old restaurant should be much more well known. We got a variety of rolls and sake, including owner recommended fresh sashimi and specials flown in fresh that day. Every bite was perfection. Staff was attentive and clearly proud of their wonderful establishment. We will be back!!
Good quality sushi, although some rolls were better than others. We paid $85 for 5 rolls and 2 miso soups. It’s no Nobu but definitely a good value in this price range.

Sushi was great, slow to come out. Did not like that they asked me to pay before I ordered.

Great food and great service. The prices have raised but they have everywhere. They also have tanks with very cute fish friends that live there. Visit over lunch for no wait and quick service.
Parking: Plan to park in the neighborhood and walk.

I've come here a few times now. The prices are decent and the fresh wasabi sets them apart. But the service is lacking (though friendly), and they always forget my appetizers.
The fish itself is usually pretty good quality. I'd recommend sticking to orders with whole cut fish. The crab mix is way too sweet and mayo-forward, and the spicy mixes have all been over mixed and mushy. All in all, I'll keep coming back...but mostly for that fresh wasabi.

Restaurantji Recommends
My husband and I have been going to this location for several years now and every time we go we are greeted warmly by everyone who works here. The owner and servers are all very friendly and welcoming and take the time to say hi and catch up.
The sushi they offer is delicious, reasonably priced and better quality than most of the more expensive sushi restaurants in Denver, plus they have fresh wasabi which can be difficult to find.
We really enjoy visiting here and we highly recommend it!

We have been eating here for years, and the sushi is always amazing. Take the recommendations from the staff regarding the specials and freshest fish and you cannot go wrong. We are always surprised when we can walk in on a Friday night and get a table with no wait…we will opt to eat here over the trendy sushi places on S. Pearl any night!
The food was decent, pretty much what you’d expect from a mid priced sushi place. I got some pretty bad food poisoning the same night, however.

Another great night at Fontana's Sushi. We always do freestyle with Cheng and his team and after going there they know what we like. It was a great treat to have Uni which was served on top of Fatty Tuna for an amazing compliment to the two fish . Can't wait for our next meal at Fontana's
Sushi is excellent. Love the rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. You really get the best bang for your buck with Fontana, just don't expect a luxurious atmosphere.
