Solid sushi with great service. My takeout took longer then expected and they were very kind to throw in some extra food for the wait. Highly recommend this spot.

Sushi is phenomenal! I’ve had it delivered and have ordered for pick up. The challenge in picking up is parking is slim to none. Took me a 15 minutes

If there is an empty sushi restaurant in Denver there is probably a reason. Albeit, I am a huge sushi den fan. Love the fresh sushi and ambiance. I figured I would try a new place. It was like a level of hell. I got the sushi for 2. The sushi was meh. Nothing noteworthy or exceptional. Maybe a step up from grocery store sushi. Ambiance- think empty tacky tiki. If you are as lucky as me you can enjoy your sushi watching a dude up high cleaning slime and fish crap out of an aquarium. Do not waste your time or money. It was awful.

Maybe it was poor bc it was valentines day and they were so busy but it took them 35 minutes once we were seated to take a drink order and then they kept asking if we got everything we ordered, which we hadn't. Great value but I'd rather go somewhere else and pay more for better service and food. Sorry.

LOVE THIS PLACE Been here over 30 times in the past year. They are so consistent. Such unique rolls and apps on weekends. Also the fresh wasabi!!! Nowhere else has it and it's by far the best. Hapa has nothing on this place

My girlfriend and I have been to this place at least 25 times and each time, we are blown away by the fact that the place is nearly empty. The sushi is the best I've had in the continental US, and I've had sushi everywhere. It seems family owned, and the staff is welcoming and truly cares about your experience. The ambiance is calm and the interior decorations look like a town square in Tokyo. Super cool. The rolls are unique and expertly crafted and the fish quality is extremely high. Very impressive not only for Colorado, but for anywhere.I tell everyone about this place and I hope people go. I want to see them get more business because they truly deserve it. Such a sleeper find and a 10/10 dining experience. Enjoy.

Poor quality fish and the rice was shockingly terrible. The staff were very kind, but I’d never go here again because the food was borderline inedible.

Fontana's is our favorite Sushi Restaurant in Denver. Everyone made our experience special every time we come. We always ask for Chin to go Freestyle on the Sushi and we are always blown away with his creative was of preparing every dish. Parking can me difficult, so plan on walking a couple blocks, it will be worth the extra steps. Living Joyfully SSW

Best sushi, best service, Denver's best kept secret! Perfect place for parties or date night.

Absolutely awful. Our first indicator should have been the place was empty. The server kept coming back over and over to ask us if we were ready to order when we had just sat down. We ordered and I let them know I am allergic to mackerel so they brought me all salmon and yellowtail for the sashimi lunch. How if it's assorted do you get two kinds of sashimi? My daughter ordered a roll and threw up shortly after we left. No one came to give us a check so I finally got up to find someone and they were all having lunch. Hence the reason we were rushed and got a joke of a sashimi assortment. Taki Sushi is right around the corner not sure why anyone would eat here instead.

My partner and I enjoyed another lovely dinner here tonight. All of the sashimi was fresh, and the presentation was lovely. Thank you Fontana Sushi!

The basics rolls were reallly good and the fresh wasabi was also really good but some of the sushi I got was not my cup of tea. I felt like it was definitely overpriced but the server was great and the plum wine was fire.

My wife and I love Fontana Sushi. We live in the neighborhood, and it is our go-to restaurant when we have a sitter and date night. This place doesn't need to put a bunch of fancy light fixtures or artsy chairs and tables to give you the impression of a great meal; the great meal is earned from the excellent sushi and wonderful customer service- from the lady that greets us at the door, to the servers and the sushi chefs behind the small counter. Their friendliness is contagious, my wife and I can go here and reliably relax and enjoy the moment without so much fuss. The sushi is outstanding- from the real wasabi and anything they recommend for the week, it is always fresh and flavorful, with a lot of options for a variety of tastes. We chuckle when we pass restaurants with lines nearby- they're missing out on great people and great food. Even on a Friday night, we rarely have to wait. Whether you're on a first date, or a night with the family give it a shot if in the neighborhood (unless you're a j**** then find a reservation-only place with a line and don't ruin this place's vibe!)Kid-friendliness: We would definitely consider bringing our kids- the gigantic fish tanks with goldfish are sure to keep the interest of any youngster!
