I've held back on reviewing Fritangas because I was selfishly gatekeeping. But no more!! Fritangas is awesome and my favorite Denver spot for a California burrito. (And having lived in SD for 4 years, I'm a snob.)

Bustlin’ busy and fabulous as hell. By far the best breakfast burrito in town. Extremely affordable, especially for this 2025 price gouging climate. Yum. Eat the food here.

The atmosphere is nice and the food is good.
Chorizo breakfast burrito was delicious. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.
Good food and the service is okay nowadays. I wish they’d turn the very annoying Laura pausini music off and play something different. It messes up the vibes. I walk out of there with a full blown headache
We went to the Aurora location to celebrate my daughter's new house right nearby. I was really hoping they'd have killer, authentic Mexican food. We got a mixed bag. HIGHLIGHT: The mole was amazing! I got it on top of an enchilada but I think it would be great on their chicken. The typical Mexican starter of tortilla chips and salsa was not so great. The chips were thin and tasted like they were from a bag (probably were) and were a bit too salty. The salsa was very thin and had no character. The flankskirt steak was fine. I could see ordering that again. It did seem a little salty, though. I got the soft chile relleno which wasn't bad but the chile seemed a bit small and there wasn't a whole lot of taste with a bland cheese inside. The egg outer covering was actually good. The thing that was the most disappointing was the rice. It was terrible. My wife said it looked and tasted like Uncle Ben's. At lot of other Mexican restaurants serve a much more superb rice. The beans were okay, but not tasty, mainly bland.
