Like so many of the places I pass multiple times a week, Gates has always lost the hunger games to the convenience of parking, my love of Sweet Cow and the less intimidating queue at Park Burger. For what it’s worth, I really don’t care for Park Burger, either.
Tonight I arrived shortly after the Broncos win to a half full patio and a tame group of people occupying it. I ordered to go and I was very, very impressed.
The “Sexy Tractor” caught my eye and while the sunflower seeds and olive oil were not welcome on my palate tonight, I did turn it into a BLT. An homage to my favorite summertime snack, the tomato and mayonnaise sandwich, this hit the right spots. There is only one acceptable mayonnaise where I grew up and that is Dukes. You could put Dukes, Hellmans, Blue Plate, Kraft and Miracle Whip blindly and I’ll tell you 1 would be correct, 3 would be a nice try and the latter would produce the same results as ingesting ipecac. What I appreciated second to the correct mayonnaise was the choice of bread. A correct tomato and mayonnaise sandwich *must* be made on what we lovingly refer to as “Piggly Wiggly white bread”. That’s the kind of white bread that costs a dollar today and likely cancer in 30 years. But this is elevated piggly wiggly— baked across the street at the Tokyo Premium Bakery, this milk bread is the *perfect* foundation for this masterpiece.
The Cuban, also served on the same bread, was just delicious. Should have mayo in addition to the mustard by default but I’ll let that one slide.
Cole slaw was a miss but still 5 star meal. Owners if you are reading this, a word of advice— your coleslaw could have been a 10, and with Dukes in the name it was almost a shame that the soggy mix of cabbage and mayo had lived its most enjoyable life long before I got ahold of it. Yall need to mix it to order so the cabbage remains crisp and flavorful. Coleslaw is not a homogenous mixture.
Friendly service, fun environment. Next time I’ll grab a beer.

Came here on Sunday during the Broncos and Giants game. Ordered a couple beers at the bar while we waited for our Togo order of sandwiches. The bartender put in the wrong order, so we just received 1 sandwich instead of the 3 we ordered. We tried to get her attention, but she was too busy watching the game and taking a show with the other bartender. When we finally got her attention, we told her about the issue and she tried to blame the line cook for messing up our order. She never once asked if the situation was fixed, and instead took another shot with the bartender after the game was over. Very disappointed and we would not recommend coming back her when there are broncos games or sitting at the bar when they are to pre occupied with taking their own shots.

They lost our order even though they weren’t very busy. Mediocre terrible experience.

Their Italian sandwich is my favorite, but all their food is delicious! They can get pretty busy, but it’s worth the wait and there’s plenty of seating with a nice little outdoor seating area to wait at.

Got the One Love but it was really inedible. Pretty tasteless and sour. I don’t know if I’d chance it to try another.
Astounding chicken sandwich. Top tier quality ingredients, amazing flavor combination, and reasonably priced.

The turkey club was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Everything bagel seasoning on guac and Sriracha mayo with sprouts is a legendary combination. Packed on a Tuesday night at 8pm, I can see why. Good spot for a date night

Sandwiches were good small for the price, wide variety of beer. 2 Sammie's and 2 beers cost almost $60 worth a visit but won't make it a frequent place.
Firstly, their hot dog is **NOT "all BEEF"** as clearly and specifically stated both on the Vienna (supplier) website and by a rep. When we asked the manager of the deli about this they tried to convince us otherwise??
Borderline FALSE ADVERTISING.
Additionally, they failed to give me the turkey sandwich I ordered, and served me instead the "menu" version. When we tried to take it back and politely requested it to be remade, they tried to just scrape off the sauce etc. We are patient and don't mind waiting for accurate good food, but this was both a long wait (20+ mins on a Wednesday??) and yucky food.
Nope, not going here ever again. Bad experience from start to finish.
ONLY good part was the employees (not manager) were kind and polite back to us.
Vegetarian options: Not good for vegetarians at all
Dietary restrictions: Bad with any dietary restrictions
Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly menu or atmosphere (connected to a bar)
Wheelchair accessibility: Difficulty to get from wheelchair parking to location, which outside the bar is a "walk up" window with difficult access even for an able person.

Great sandwiches! A little expensive for the portion size, but could've just been a little busy when I went.

The Italian Job sandwich I ordered looked awesome, problem is I should've asked the guy making it to put a fresh pair of gloves on. He was touching everything and even gave change back wearing them. No bueno !
