Tonight at Ghost Donkey, during one of the craziest rushes I’ve ever seen, Shane and Max absolutely blew me away. I’ve never written a review before, but their performance behind the bar was so impressive that I felt like I had to share it.
The place was packed, the energy was wild, and the orders were nonstop, but Shane and Max handled it all like seasoned pros. Shane worked with incredible precision and speed, crafting cocktails that didn’t just taste amazing but looked like works of art. Despite the chaos, he stayed friendly and composed, taking time to make great drink recommendations and even cracking a few jokes while hustling through the madness.
Watching Shane and Max work together was like watching a perfectly choreographed performance. They never missed a beat, even when the pressure was at its peak. The level of professionalism, skill, and charisma they brought to the table turned what could have been a chaotic experience into a highlight of the night.
I’ve been to plenty of bars, but I’ve never been so impressed that I felt compelled to write a review—until now. Shane and Max are the dream team, and if you’re lucky enough to catch them behind the bar at Ghost Donkey, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and so glad I did! The drinks are delicious and the entire vibe is so much fun. Not to mention, I had the absolute BEST server I have had in ages! I was visiting Denver for a wedding and found this place by pure luck. LIZ- you’re an OG, salt of the earth, and I hope your company recognizes how valuable and amazing you are. This place was very clean, the team literally made my night and gave the best suggestions for food and drinks. My bartenders were Kaci and Ciara and they were so fun and sweet. They all turned a bad day into an amazing night. I will literally tell all my Denver friends about ghost donkey, there’s no comparison.

My sister recommended ghost donkey and it did NOT disappoint. The drinks and food were phenomenal, I’m definitely coming back for happy hour. Liz, the manager I believe, was making rounds to check on everyone, which I’m not used to at my other favorite bars in LoDo - she hyped me up on a bad mental health day and all of the staff were prompt with service and drinks and all seemed to have such a great flow together. Kaci and Cierra were also very attentive and friendly and gave me great recommendations for drinks. Being in the service industry I can already see this is a solid location with solid staff.

The staff are friendly and fun, the drinks surpassed my expectations and the manager Liz was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to all the guests tonight. We had an amazing conversation about her favorite mezcal (which I now love), Denver excursions, and travel tips. You won’t find another bar like this, don’t hesitate just come experience the vibe.

Me and my girlfriend stopped in here the other night. Place is wicked dope! The decorations and lighting are awesome and the drinks are fantastic.
Our bartender Shane was the man. He was super knowledgeable about all of the liquor in stock and we shared stories the whole night. Highly recommend this place if you’re in town!

If I could give 0 I would. The short server that was on shift November 3rd at 1AM was rude. We have never attended this bar and she told another server not to serve my friend and I. She went out of her way to tell another bartender with a ring on her nose not to which she admitted that coworker told her not to serve us because she wasn’t serving anyone on the two tables in the center of the place near the bar although we’ve never been there before. The other server admitted the girl with black hair told her not to serve our table of six. Honestly, money loss on your end ghost donkey. This didn’t have to be a big deal as it was made to be by that specific server! We’re never going back there again. The security guard kicked us out, actually shouted at us to get out even thought we had done nothing offensive but tell the server we don’t want HER to serve us and preferred someone else. She didn’t like that we didn’t want her to serve us so she had our table of 6 get kicked out. Won’t ever recommend this place. Terrible place and trashy customer service! Save your money folks!

Very interesting place to stop in for a drink. We stumbled upon it early in the evening just walking by the train, and glad we did. Bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great specialty cocktail with a just a cool vibe. I was completely mesmerized with the lights. Sounds like it turns into a party later in the night.
