I've visited this bakery several times over the past year and their sourdough loaves are consistently charred, one may say burned. While this might be an intentional style choice (similar to New Haven-style pizza's char), it is not a known baking method to me. The burnt flavor overwhelms the natural sourdough tang I'm looking for. If you prefer a more traditional, golden-brown sourdough, you might want to look elsewhere.

The pastries and bread are great, but the tipping pressure is overwhelming. Before you even finish paying, the screen prompts you with aggressive tip options—even for just grabbing a pre-packaged item. The staff stares while you decide, making it super uncomfortable. I’m happy to tip for great service, but being guilt-tripped at every step takes away from the experience. A good bakery shouldn’t make customers feel bad just for making a purchase.

The pastries here were okay. The almond chocolate croissant was super dense, and I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate they chose. The ham and cheese pastry was kind of bland, though the bit of salt was a nice touch. The leek and Parmesan one had a flavor and texture I didn’t really enjoy, and the morning bun, while it had a nice texture, felt like it was missing something. Nothing was bad, but nothing really impressed me either.

I ordered dinner rolls for Thanksgiving dinner, decided not to make home made rolls for the first time ever. I showed up during my delivery window and they said, oops sorry we don’t have any dinner rolls. They had a huge line, gave no excuse, but turned numerous people away who were counting on dinner rolls for their Thanksgiving dinner. No other options available now being that it’s Thanksgiving. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. This bakery deserves to go out of business. No call ahead to warn us of an issue allowing us time to at least get frozen rolls from the grocery store. I am in shock that a bakery can think this is okay. They didn’t even act remorseful, just offered a refund.

One of the best bakeries in the neighborhood. Great staff. Great bread.

Everything that was out looked so tasty!
We tried a few different things, the morning bun, bagels, and ham and cheese croissant. It was all excellent. The service was also very welcoming and kind. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bakery.

The good: it’s delicious.
The bad: because of that they sell out.
But if you can get there before “the bad” it’s worth it. Also some of the best bread in Denver.

Dietary restrictions: Bread is mostly vegan. Country loaf.

We've loved everything we've had here. The morning bun is a staple and amazing. Their season options are really good.

One of the best bakeries in Denver. I put it up there with GetRights.

Small shop when it’s a bakery, mostly only can sit outside on the patio. Great pastries.

Came late and all they had left was a beet sandwich and the last croissant. Gave it a go anyway and it actually was pretty good, can definitely see why this place is popular. The baguette was really good. Will have to get here early for true full review.

Decent bakery, but definitely not worth the price. The chocolate croissant was okay, the ganache was a little too acidic and bitter. The almond croissant was quite dense. The cream filling for donuts was too salty. For $7 a piece, I was expecting it to be close to perfection.

They used to be my favorite bakery in town but have gone downhill in the past 6 months. The quality of the pastry has fallen. This was an almond chocolate croissant that was as dense as a scone. The other croissants have been over baked and dry. Not sure if there was a change in the kitchen (and if that’s why pizza seemingly stopped for 6 months) but it’s been a bummer to see. I hope they can turn it around.

I really like Good Bread 75% of the time. However, I went there today and was rather disappointed. Their rotating “cream filled” brioche had no filling inside it. I almost wonder if they misnamed the item?On a previous occasion, I was excited to see they had pizza. I ordered a slice and, when I got home, saw that the slice they gave me had almost no cheese on it - it must have slid off or something, because the pizza I saw in the bakery had cheese all over it.Overall, their food is high quality but inconsistent.I would recommend that, if you are going to get their food, consider eating there so if something is off, you can let the staff know.
