Haji baba is one of my favorite middle eastern places to eat. My family and I go there pretty often. The staff is very nice and the food is both inexpensive and VERY delicious.

While this place is plain on looks and atmosphere, the food is fabulous and authentic. Staff wear masks and are quite nice and friendly. We decided on the Chicken Shawarma plates to go. Plates come with rice, hummus, tabbouleh, Arabic bread and garlic Mayo. Dine in is available but this Friday eve, it was bare. While we were waiting, I shopped in their small grocery store for a packet of ground Sumac. Sumac is a tangy lemon seasoning using to sprinkle over the meal. The meals arrived quickly. The chicken is moist snd tender. The hummus is freshly made and so creamy that you want to lick the plate. The tabbouleh is very fresh. The rice is good with some Sumac on it. The garlic Mayo is especially good on the chicken. The meal is ample with leftovers. Good prices. Small parking lot.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Yesterday we stopped in at Haji-baba's, one of our FAVORITE restaurants in Phoenix. We stepped out of our comfort zone and chose the combination plate. WOW! Incredible flavors! Can't tell you which item on the plate was the best. Delicious! Brought 1/2 home and enjoyed it today! Service was outstanding from the waiter to the owners. We asked about the spices used in the gyros and the men jumped out from behind the counter and took us on a tour around the store. We came home with several bags of spices, Spanish olive oil, a gallon container of olives, cookies, etc. etc. This should hold us over until we're back in town in December. Jaji-baba can't be beat for good food and good service and great prices!

Good lamb tongue sandwiches. Also a grocery store. About half a dozen tables. Clean and friendly staff. Had a very good lunch.

Little hole in the wall place, packed with people who knew its worth. Decent portions. Everything fresh and tasty. Shish Kebab, Lamb tongue, Greek salad. Excellent. Washed down with a pot of green tea. This restaurant sits within/ next to a grocery store. Not fancy, and none of the patrons seemed to care, as they were too busy conversing and enjoying the tasty Middle Eastern fare.

Informal restaurant in a grocery store. Quick service, good middle eastern food. The tabouli was fresh and tasty.

Looking for a fancy place to eat? This is not the one. Looking for solid and delicious Mediterranean food in a casual atmosphere? This is the place! part grocery, part restaurant, this place has excellent service and food. Nothing fancy just fresh great food. We both had the chicken shawarma plates which comes with fresh hummus, tabbouleh, Arabic bread, garlic mayo, rice and shawarma. Sprinkle everything with sumac and enjoy. It was absolutely delicious with plenty of leftovers. They share a parking lot. Prices are decent. On the weekends, they tend to get crowded. People were waiting for tables when we left.

I have been eating Authentic Greek and Middle eastern food for over 35 years. Gyro was spot on.. and price was just right.. Recently we have moved to Tempe, AZ and for some reason other middle eastern restaurants are cutting it up , putting too much seasoning, grilling it too long. Their Baba is almost perfect.. more smoke than other places and not too chunky. definately coming back

Best chicken shawarma ever! The inkt problem is one of the cooks will overcook the chicken making it burned and crunchy. However, when the GOOD cook makes it, BEST SHAWARMA EVER! Price is very reasonable
