Never ever disappointed with the food here! Usually order a chicken shawarma plate and it comes with tons of delicious food for a great price. Ordering pick up never takes more than 15 minutes and they are so sincerely appreciative of tips. One of my favorite places to get amazing food! Highly recommended it to anyone.

Great quality food, but most impressively, the prices are very cheap for the amount of food you get! Haji-baba stands out for its (quality) protein-to-dollar ratio. You will get your money's worth here.

Be prepared to want to return the next day, and the next, and the next, and the... you get the point. Chicken Shawarma Plate gets you hooked. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Great prices! Our server was very nice and helped recommend some yummy platters. $5 for a huge gyro. They also have a shop with all kinds of foreign foods & goods. Support local, check them out!

If I had a choice to eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be the chicken shawarma plate from Haji-Baba.

The menu never seems to change, but it doesn't need to. It seems kind of an afterthought, sits inside of a middle eastern grocery. It's a taste of home for a special community, and welcome change for those looking for something to change their mundane food routines.

Authentic, affordable and friendly Dishes are made traditionally with a lot of oil- wouldn't recommend going in your diet day ;)

Really enjoyed my experience here, despite a couple of misses. The food was delicious, particularly the chicken shawarma. The baba ganoush, tahini, grape leaves, and foul were also great. I found the garlic sauce to be a miss, having the consistency of mayo, rather than a frothy emulsion it usually is. Unfortunately, my choice was smothered in it, so ask for it on the side. Not a miss, but just unexpected, their kibbeh is not fried, but comes in a meatloaf square. So just know that when you order. The rose lemonade was fun, and their iced tea stellar mixing traditional black tea with orange spice. Their ambience is non-existent. It's a hole in the wall restaurant that's primarily a market-first. I enjoyed shopping their market while waiting for my party to arrive. Think of it more like a cafeteria. I was disappointed by the waiter who rushed through everything and didn't really wait to be there. Conflicted on this point since I don't even expect to be waited on in this type of environment, but if I am going to get waited on, I expect better service. I will say all the other counter employees were extremely friendly and pleasant, so I don't think it's the norm.

I came here twice one with my mom and the second with my fiancé, the first time my mom and I went we liked it but not to the point of loving it and the second time I went with my fiancé; I wanted to see if maybe it would be different but no, still the same feeling,. The food is not bad but also is not amazing but that's my humble opinion. The staff are nice people but would I go back? Maybe... maybe to the market or to try another plate, the both times I went I got the lamb w/ chicken skewers and the lamb tasted a bit dry, but hey they say the third time is a charm so let's hope.

That. Chicken. Shawarma. Plate. You have got to try their chicken shawarma plate because the chicken, hummus, tabouleh - everything on that plate is SO GOOD. And the garlic sauce?! THAT GARLIC SAUCE HAS TO BE ILLEGAL. Seriously, I could eat that sauce for days. Next time I'm coming, I'm going to have to hit this plate with some extra garlic sauce. Add extra sauce for me please, you will NOT regret it! We went with some of my boyfriend's friends when we were in town and everyone at the table got the chicken shawarma so that's where it's at I guess! The wait staff was really nice and was shocked I finished my plate. Feeling pretty proud of myself but they should be feeling proud of themselves for making this bomb dish.

This place is the reason I miss Tempe eats. Haji-Baba is my go to place when guests or visitors are in town. Haji-Baba has moderately priced middle eastern cuisine that is to die for. Anytime I'm back in AZ, I make my way here. The service is outstanding, and they've always recognized me when I'm visiting. My favorite plate is the chicken shawarma!!

Haji baba is like an Arabian taqueria! It has a grocery store and a restaurant! Highly recommend the gyro deluxe sandwich! The Arabic coffee is an acquired taste and not for the faint hearted! I suggest drinking it while eating a sandwich or their pistachio baklava which will help balance out the bitterness.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST BAKLAVA IVE EVER HAD!!! Don't think about it, just go. You wont be disappointed no matter what Mediterranean dish you choose :) i was in heaven! The falafel was so fresh and soft on the inside yet crunchy on the outside. Hummus simple but perfect, and the Gyro was on point as well.. Five stars all around! Superb, fast, and friendly service by Jali :) thank you Jali, you made our time with you memorable! Sorry i didnt snap and pics of food.. ate it too fast!

Y'all! I want to go the Phx area to eat alone and this is one spot I'd have to go to at least once and most likely twice. Their chicken shawarma plate is to DIE for! I always used to ask for salad instead of tabouleh, but that's just what I preferred. The garlic sauce is divine. I've also had the falafel here and it is very good. Also, the wide variety of homemade baklava's are also DIVINE! Affordable prices, big portions and the best middle eastern I've ever had!
