This place is super cute and I have had some good experiences here before, but my most recent visit was pretty bad. The bartender was clearly not sober and was moving exceptionally slow. He was chatting with friends at the bar while a long line of customers formed. When we finally were able to order I was given the wrong drink. When I asked for a new one, he took my original drink and started to drink it himself, and then didn’t remake it for over 20 minutes only after I reminded him. When he finally made the drink I ordered it tasted awful.

Nice atmosphere, but when I ordered a second Martini the bar tender asks me “want to know another name for this drink? Alcoholism.” My dude you work at a bar.

Bella & Andy - SO AMAZING! Saved us from some creep at the bar. Great cocktails and even better service!

Bartenders that made two women feel so safe at the bar!

I love the concept at vibe of this place and the drinks but I don’t like to be treated terribly when I’m trying to support my neighborhood bar. The male bartender with the curly hair is rude every time I encounter him there. If I ever dare ask a question he acts like it’s a massive inconvenience or implies that I’m an idiot. Please at least try to be hospitable.

I like this spot but the curly haired male bartender has got to go. Owners of this establishment - note that nearly all the negative reviews on your page involve an interaction with him and take action! Calling him arrogant and smug is an understatement. You are in a customer facing role that rewards hospitality, treat your customers with respect and kindness! You are losing returning customers and I will not be recommending this place to others until I no longer see him behind the bar.

ordered an old fashioned with well whiskey and paid $20, only to watch someone walk in right after me and order the same thing, and only be charged $14. noticed it’s $14 on the menu. no itemized receipt or anything. watch what you’re charged. won’t be back.

The latest visit was a big disappointment. Typically a good stop for solid classic cocktails mixed with house created cocktails but now it was understaffed with one person working the barn on a Sunday night, making drinks as they look up the recipe. The drinks weren't balanced and watery from over shaking, served in the incorrect glassware for the drink such as a daiquiri in a highball with tonic. These are full priced craft cocktail prices for quality equal to a dive bar. Not the worst drinks but why stop if they can't make the drinks on the menu.

Was wondering down in the Pearl area on a Thursday evening and stopped in for the first time. Wasn’t very crowded which is always a little worrisome in Denver but me and my daughter both ordered an Espresso Martini. We have been keeping a list and rating them all over town and told the friendly bartender! He told us this would be the best we had. He was pretty spot on. We both rated the drink a 9/10. We sat outside on the small patio and really had an amazing time. Loved everything about this spot and will go back!

This place has so much potential, but was ultimately a let down.

The atmosphere is beautiful, and the space is a great location. Unfortunately the male bartender with the curly hair ultimately ruined it for me and my party. He first gaslit us about ordering an old fashioned instead of an $18 cocktail (which is on the same Menu mind you).

Super picky thing, but if I’m paying $18 for a cocktail, I would expect the bartender to know his stuff. Secondly, He expressed the orange on the outside, not the inside of the rim.

Will sadly not be going back or taking anyone else. Dude sucked and took 5 business days to make a simple 3 ingredient drink.

First time in and I must say Hazel is such a great place!!! We loved the atmosphere, the beautiful art, and the bartenders. The drinks were fabulous! Prices are definitely reasonable. It was so comfortable visiting and relaxing on the little couches. Best kept secret in Denver! Loved it!

I really wanted to like this place, but the bartender’s vitriolic behavior towards me and other patrons made me feel so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave as soon as possible

Love Hazel but really sad to see their Happy Hour ($7 for every drink on the menu) change to less/more basics options. Used to bring all our friends here as our favorite Happy Hour in Denver. Still a great spot.

Loved the creative drinks, the local art and the art-o-mat (old cigarette vending machine full of local art of different mediums ). Would come back.

I had high hopes because this place is very cute and cozy, but maybe we just had a bad bartender.

Firstly the bartender had super weird energy (cursing every other word, speaking quickly and loudly…on something, much?). Secondly, I asked for a paper plane (a bourbon cocktail), and watched him start pouring gin. After I said something I was then given a very not tasty mixture of whiskey, montenegro and aperol. I didn’t feel like correcting him twice. My friends’ spicy marg smelled and tasted like grass clippings.

It was a yikes experience with the drinks, but the place IS cute I suppose.
