This is the cutest bar ?. The drinks were made well and our bar tender Megan was the the most polite and thoughtful. I will be back and you should stop by if you are in the area.

I was really excited to try this place but was super let down by the service after stopping in for a drink. It took a minute to get served—even though it was extremely slow. I had to ask for a menu then the bartender went right back to his phone for a few minutes. When he finally realized I wanted to order, I asked about a specific drink and he responded rudely by saying “It’s as described”. Really sold me on that one, dude. The rest of the few mins I was there, no one else was served and the bartender remained glued to his phone. Maybe I just came on the wrong night? Yikes—this bartender obviously hates his job.

A Spirited Experience at Hazel Art Bar: Mezcal Magic UnleashedHazel Art Bar, an oasis for discerning palates seeking an unforgettable libation experience, surpassed all expectations with its mezcal offering. From the carefully selected ingredients to the artful presentation, it was evident that Hazel Art Bar spared no effort in crafting an unparalleled drinking experience. With the first sip, I was transported to the rugged landscapes of Mexico, where agave fields stretched as far as the eye could see. The smoky aroma of the mezcal intertwined with hints of citrus and spice tantalized my palate, leaving me craving more. What truly set Hazel Art Bar's mezcal drink apart was its perfect balance of flavors. Each component complemented the other seamlessly, creating a harmonious symphony of taste that lingered long after the glass was empty. But beyond the sensory delights, it was the passion and expertise of the Hazel Art Bar team that truly elevated the experience. Tried door several times after 3pm just now. My husband made eye contact with person behind bar twice and there was no acknowledgement of us. Not sure we’ll bother going back.

Lazy bartender who called an 86 on all of their drinks way before closing unless we wanted a beer or vodka soda…a local art bar known for their specialty cocktails….wildly disappointing.

Chill spot with great drinks. Part local hang, part hipster bar, part art gallery. So much to love on the hipster strip that is South Pearl Street.

I have always really enjoyed this place, but the bartender that was working today 2/26 was not nice at all. I tried asking him about drinks and asking his opinion on some of his preferences with the seltzers and he said “I don’t drink that”. His attitude was that of someone who you are massively inconveniencing and he acts very snobby. Completely ruined the vibe of the entire place

Loved Hazel on my first visit! Lively on a Saturday night with great music and even better cocktails (my mezcal drink with activated charcoal was what dreams are made of)! Friendly staff too!

Tyler was awesome!! We asked for espresso martinis and he made everything fresh and seared a marshmallow for the garnish! After we played cards against humanity! Such a fun vibe, highly recommend!! Ask for TYLER at the bar!

The place is cute and had typical music you could easily sing along to, but I did not expect the prices. Their "homemade" cocktails ranged from $9-15, but my friends and I opted for traditional ones (vodka soda, margarita, whiskey coke) and they were EACH $14!! Totally not worth it and a reason that I likely won't be returning.

O was the bartender and a total homie. Gave me really good suggestions about drinks and a shot on the house. Definitely a sweet place worth checking out. Ask him about Skrewball

I tried to contact the owner prior to writing this review, as I am very, VERY slow to say anything negative about someone’s business because that is their livelihood. But the very same person who was so cold and unwelcoming and made me decide to write only the third bad review I’ve ever written in my entire life, is the same person who answered the phone when I tried to leave a message for the owner to get clarification on whether my experience was an anomaly before warning people away. So he told me to go ahead and write a scathing review. So that’s what I’m doing. If you want to go someplace where you can feel unwelcome and like a burden – – Hazel appears to be the place. I have been wanting to stop in to check it out, as it looks cute. I have to say that it is very cute inside, when I came in, though , a guy sitting at the bar on his computer came around behind the bar. I was confused as to what to do as he didn’t say anything & just looked irritated that someone had bothered to come in. Apparently I had interrupted whatever he was doing at his computer. Or at least that’s how I felt. So I asked what I was supposed to do, thinking there may be some other protocol that I wasn’t aware of – – and he said for me to just pick a seat and order – – as though I was an idiot. If I hadn’t been so confused by the cold reception that I received initially, I wouldn’t have asked the question in the first place. I felt so unwelcome I just left. It was remarkably, uniquely bad and uncomfortable and weird. And Apparently there’s no need to bother trying to contact the owner either. I just wanted to get clarification prior to writing something negative because I do take it so seriously; but he told me she is unreachable & to go ahead and write a “scathing review”, so here I am. He wouldn’t take my information to have her call me & he says the owner doesn’t get back to people and that he never knows when she is going to be there.
