I recently visited the Hive Garden Bistro and, unfortunately, my overall experience was not the best. The service and atmosphere left something to be desired, and I encountered a few issues that made my visit less enjoyable than I had hoped.
However, one person truly stood out—Taylor. Despite the challenges around them, Taylor was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and taken care of, and their positive attitude made a real difference in my visit.
Taylor’s dedication and excellent customer service did not go unnoticed. They are a true asset to the Hive Garden Bistro, and I hope their efforts are recognized. Thanks to Taylor, my experience ended on a much brighter note.

Daniel’s positive energy and professionalism really stood out and made my visit even more enjoyable. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for guests. He is a fantastic representative of the Botanic Gardens, and I hope his efforts are recognized. Because of Daniel, I will definitely be getting a season pass.

Gardens are so lovely, and I wish I could say the same for our meal at the Hive. My vegetarian burger was tasteless, and the entire meal -- buns and fries, too -- was cold. Ditto my friend's meal of a burger and fries. If we weren't so hungry, we would have asked to have our meals reheated. Service was ....meh. Pls. ask your associates to speak clearly to customers and to not talk with their backs turned while speaking to customers. A pleasant greeting would have been nice, too.

The Hive was disappointing. It appears that communication between staff as well as from staff to customer needs improvement. The food we received was acceptable and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful.

Our party of 3 enjoyed the gardens on Monday, August 25. It was a bit overcast and rainy, but still very enjoyable. We also had an AMAZING lunch at the hive, the bistro at the garden. Quincy delivered incredible service - truly a customer service extraordinaire! Our Thai Crunch salads, That's My Jam burger, and sweet potato fries were very tasty. 10/10 recommend!

On 8/11/2025, ordered a hamburger and sweet potato fries for two and 2 drinks. Over $50 with 20%tip. Hamburger was cold but lettuce and tomatoes fresh. Fries were several hours old and oily. Tasted terrible. Did not seem to be a freshly prepared meal.

Very nice spot adjacent to the north end of Cheeseman Park. The cappuccino and pastries are excellent at breakfast. The raspberry croissant was delicious and had a ton of the raspberry filling.
Counterservice was fast, friendly and accurate. The space itself is attractive especially the outdoor tables when the weather is good. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for customers.
Parking is very difficult after 8 am when the spaces in front are all reserved. Before 8 am and after 5 pm, the spaces are available.
The Thai crunch was delectable, the crunchy edamame with the cucumber created a perfect texture combo. Also there were polite ducks and rude squirrels there too

Great place to grab some food after a long mountain hike. Food was fantastic and for the quality of the food was shocked at the price in this area. Very affordable and the beer was just as good as the food. If you like a chill modern brewery style restaurant come check them out. Our waitress Darya did a great job making sure we were taken care of
