It's not often that some place completely exceeds expectations but this one surely did! I wanted to wait out rush hour, so I went to this place since I've always thought about trying the one in Colorado Springs, and I didn't expect much but I was so pleasantly surprised! The place was nice, clean, and fun. The staff kindly and patiently answered all my questions. And the food was great! I got nachos and it was like subway for Mexican food, without everything being overloaded with Cilantro, or making normally savory items sweet. And it wasn't outrageously overpriced! Other people can have Chipotle and Qdoba, I'll stick with Illegal Petes. Now I just gotta try the one in my city.

This one is a spacious establishment with two levels and a patio. It has a similar vibe to the one on 16th street, but it’s a bit crowded there with all the instructions.

I love this place. Its so much better than Chipotle & Moe’s. The food tastes authentic/real. Its very reasonable prices. The guacamole is great. They have red & green jalapeño sauce. You can get red peppers & onions, green peppers & onions or both. The bar is very laid back. You can usually catch young people shooting the breeze or watching sports. The place is never packed but never empty. The staff is super friendly humble kind. They have an outdoor seating area at the one that I went to. Plenty of parking. I’m not so hot on trivia or drag queens. But its a very comfortable laid back environment. Safe for people of all ages. I usually get the quesadilla and I’m coming here from now on instead of Chipotle.

I enjoy eating the food from here. It is clean. Food is good. I have done take out and dine in. They have an outside seating area which is nice. They serve alcohol for those who want a beer or cocktail etc. They have trivia night. It is worth trying once and if you don't enjoy it that is up to you if you go back or not. I got the tri tip steak and potatoes which was delicious.
I usually meet up with a group on Saturday night. It's a good place to have a pretty lively bunch. Amazing outdoor seating.

It’s like chipotle, but better and not chipotle. It is a bit pricey (a burrito with a few extras came out to around $20!) but it was so good. I liked that they had potatoes as an option for a burrito / bowl etc. Definitely recommend the “taco night” plant based protein and the queso.
Vegetarian options: Plant based protein called “taco night” that is quite good.

Great spot with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and even a small parking lot. For being on colfax this location does a great job making you feel like you are in a better area!

Such a cool place with amazing food. The value is incredible, it blows chipotle out of the water. The potatoes are delicious!
