Izakaya and Sushi Den are sister restaurants -- I have loved the Sushi Den restaurants since I arrived in Denver since 2003 -- pre-concert, birthdays, celebrations, business meetings and introducing friends to the Den. It is a special place for me and a lot of Denverites....

Another outstanding dinner at Izakaya Den. They have the most amazing selection of Aburi, probably the largest selection in Denver. John does the team proud...he is totally professional, in his service and a wealth of knowledge, about the several menus. You could not be in better hands. The hostess team, on both, the first level and the second level are all delightful and helpful. The only shortfall about tonight's fare and not really worth mentioning, was my favorite, Aburi Lobster, seemed a little less generous. The other great Aburi and not to be overlooked, is the Osaka style Aburi Salmon...can't say enough good, about this selection. I would always include it with any order, however, only available at dinner at this time. How very lucky we are in the Denver area, to have these three, now four, outstanding sushi restaurants.

The sushi is always good but the service was not at the level that it has been in the past. It was a busy Friday night so the food took longer which is fine. However, we had to flag down our waiter more than once which is disappointing especially since their service has always been good.

Sushi Den is always a good time. But last night Guy was our waiter and couldn't have been more amazing. Honestly, best of the best! FIVE STAR service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Izakaya is perhaps the restaurant most special to me. Of course, the sushi is world-class good. The waitstaff is a treasure. Joey was our server and he is simply a delight.

I came here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I booked the reservation a few weeks ahead of time and requested a booth. When we arrived we were seated at a small table. The fact that I requested a booth was not acknowledged. I understand it was just 2 of us, but I knew we were going to order a good amount of food and didn't want to cram it all on the small table. We also sat in a booth when we met 11 years ago so there was an emotional significance to it. I asked our server if we could move to the corner booth or any other booth because of that reason and because I originally requested a booth. The server said the host declined my request because there was a reservation coming in. We sat for nearly two hours for dinner and when we left, there was still an open booth...

One of the best dining experiences I've had and have not had better sushi. Miso black cod appetizer is excellent. The ambience is incredible.

Took some out-of-town guests last night they couldn't believe the variety and freshness of the fish. They were mesmerized with some of the chef's creations, the knowledgeable staff, plus the architecture and interior design. Johnny on the second floor was awesome....can't wait to go again next month!

Amazing service! Lizzy helped us navigate the menu and made recommendations that exceeded expectations. Restaurant can get noisy during peak dining hours. Excellent food quality.

It had been a while since I hap been to Izakaya Den. Not much has change, which is good think. The Quality of food remains superb and the ambience is still wonderful. I will return soon.

Great service and ambiance. A nice upscale Japanese restaurant. A great value for the price, quality of the food was amazing. Would come again

We were seated at the high top by the bar. It is very uncomfortable because you can't put your legs underneath the table. Would be an easy fix to put a new base on that tabletop. The bartenders were our servers and took too long to check in.

Everything we had was delicious! Our server was so attentive and friendly. Food is definitely pricey, but we enjoyed our time. The miso eggplant and vegetable maki roll were incredible!

Reservation is highly recommended! Quite busy on a Monday night. Service was great, everyone is attentive and friendly.

Food was delicious and shareable. The yakitori skewers were scrumptious, especially loveeed the signature salmon roll! Order a few nigiris to satisfy the sushi cravings. Overall, a pricey izakaya spot but quality and taste lived up t it.
