Izakaya and Sushi Den are sister restaurants -- I have loved the Sushi Den restaurants since I arrived in Denver since 2003 -- pre-concert, birthdays, celebrations, business meetings and introducing friends to the Den. It is a special place for me and a lot of Denverites....
Another outstanding dinner at Izakaya Den. They have the most amazing selection of Aburi, probably the largest selection in Denver. John does the team proud...he is totally professional, in his service and a wealth of knowledge, about the several menus. You could not be in better hands. The hostess team, on both, the first level and the second level are all delightful and helpful. The only shortfall about tonight's fare and not really worth mentioning, was my favorite, Aburi...
The sushi is always good but the service was not at the level that it has been in the past. It was a busy Friday night so the food took longer which is fine. However, we had to flag down our waiter more than once which is disappointing especially since their service has always been good.
