Javier no longer is around. I think he headed for California and never looked back. He left a very quaint, authentic Mexican inspired cantina, which I think he would be proud of.

The place is well decorated and appointed, with established art, plants and lighting, proving that it's one of the original restaurants in the upcoming Berkeley Area filled with many new boutique fooderies.

The food was good, nothing to fancy but the atmosphere and staff were great. Lights hanging, music playing, and many pictures and decorations on the wall. The cooks and servers were very friendly and I had good timely service.
