Loved it. Denver/Boulder staple and a must visit. Amazing HH and all around balanced menu with the freshest seafood and quality cocktails.
Simply a great experience with excellent food. You always know when going to Jax you will have an exceptional dining experience. Seafood was fresh and well prepared. Noah always makes excellent cocktails. Easily the best seafood restaurant in Denver.
My almost $50 piece of Halibut was dry and overcooked. My wife's food was fine but I think a fish restaurant should be able to serve a decent piece of fish, mine was not .
Graciously bumped our reservation to accommodate our late arrival due to traffic. Excellent happy hour!
Our server was great, as was the hostess. It was kinda loud inside. Food was fine. The bill seemed pricey. Not sure if I'll go back.
We went for our 15th anniversary. The oysters were so good out like 30 only one bad one! We got the caviar which was delicious. The Caesar salad was very good as well. I ordered king crab and my husband ordered scallops my only complaint would be absolutely no seasoning on the steamed king crab other than that everything was fresh and delicious. Had key lime brûlée which was tasty and my first espresso martini. Would definitely recommend to a seafood lover. Also the tables are covered with paper and we had a great time doodling.
It was ok went for the $.50 oyster night. They supposedly sold 1000 oysters in the first hour and a half the place was dead felt like they lied about sell out
Best dining experience we've had in awhile. 4 of us & we all loved our meals & drinks. Great service. Will he back.
Top notch!!! Buddy's advice on oysters was spot on for us. (East and west coast). Salad, brussels, shishitos, all awesome. Every associate there was welcoming and personable. First time experience, will go again soon. Oh, you probably should share a generous portion of Key Lime pie
Had the feast of the seven fishes special for christmas eve. Only four fishes. A little more expensive than it was worth, but we had a good time for a special occasion

Unfortunately, we'll never go back. This is our favorite restaurant however they've started adding a 20% service charge for the kitchen staff and bar tenders! Apparently they need an automatic tip for doing their job! That 20% doesn't go the sever so be prepared to pay 40% tip. How about paying your wait staff better! Complete rip off and unethical business practice! This is the only restaurant in Denver that does this and there are nicer places that won't gauge you!
UPDATE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: And let me tell you the owner seems extremely professional and thoughtful, so with that attitude, definitely not going back. Dave - we asked about the service charge and your waitresss told us it goes to the kitchen and bar staff and NOT her, so sounds as though your staff is miss informed and she never once said it could be removed or maybe she's trying to scam customers out of more money?!?! We tip well and appreciate good service which is why we tiped an additional 25% to ensure your waitress received a sufficient tip since according to her the 20% doesn't and anything above that is hers. I would suggest ensuring your staff is properly informed before you pop off and scare off other potential patrons with that attitude.

Jax is great and we have been a number of times. This time was okay at best. There were 4 of us and we were seated in a booth by the bar. This was hands down the narrowest booth we as a group had ever sat in. Between the table and the bar no more than one person could walk by. This was very uncomfortable and disappointing. With two people sitting on each side, the ladies couldn't even have their purses on the seat next to them. Okay, after we crunched into the booth seating we waited for quite some time for our server to visit. This would be the theme for the evening. Drinks ran dry, huge lapse between drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert. We could see out server standing and spending quite a bit of time visiting with the booth one down from us and we got to the point that we would have to keep an eye out and flag them down before they would just walked by. Getting to the food, everything was delicious as usual. We go to Jax every year around Christmas and when we have people visiting from out of town but we will need to reconsider if this is the new normal at Jax. I hope not. I am sure we will visit again and let's hope Jax makes a better showing.

Finally got around to trying Jax’s and I now know why it’s a Denver staple! Amazing happy hour and great service. Got the charbroiled oysters, lobster deviled eggs and gumbo. Be sure to get a dirty martini with the anchovy stuff olives!

Best Server We’ve Ever Had!
Our recent dining experience was truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional service we received. Our server was the definition of compassionate and hard-working, going above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our meal was absolute perfection.
She made us feel so welcome and cared for, treating us like family and creating a warm, enjoyable atmosphere. Her attention to detail, genuine kindness, and tireless effort to make sure everything was just right made the evening incredibly special.
My family and I had such a wonderful time, and we couldn’t stop talking about how much her dedication enhanced our experience. She’s truly a gem, and we’re already looking forward to coming back, hoping to have her again. If you’re looking for the best dining experience, this is the place, and she’s the person to ask for!
Thank you for making our night so memorable!
