First time being here and will not return.

The management was disrespectful to say the least, the wait staff was inconsistent and most of the time absent, and the food was okay at best. Any other restaurant serving the same cuisine could have been better.

It all started from the beginning when we were sat down by the host who was actually the manager for the evening, Jeff. My wife had to greet him but he would not acknowledge her, he sat us without saying a word.

It took the waitress, Jennifer, nearly 10 minutes to even see us and asked if we needed anything to drink. There we're only two other tables sat at the restaurant at this time, they were not busy. The food was all right, but my wife had a taco salad that did not have beef as written on the menu and the "taco" aspect was a few tortilla chips on top.

Jennifer took really long times between asking us if we needed anything else. When we did ask for water, instead of servicing us, she cleaned off tables first, and then went and got our water. All in all it took her about 5 to 10 minutes to come back with just water.

Before we left, another table was sat next to us, which consisted of all men. Jennifer took immediate action and took care of their food orders and their appetizers well before she ever even noticed us or dropped off the check.

Before we left, I went back to the hostess stand and asked if he was the manager, Jeff, and he said yes. I told him our concerns and he smirked with a little bit of a sarcastic chuckle while asking me "what are the actual concerns." This was obvious he wasn't listening and didn't care. I said directly to him "you don't actually care do you?" He said "he did," again with another sarcastic smirk and chuckle. I told him, "no you don't" and said "we won't be returning, have a good night."

To whoever runs / owns this restaurant, you're going to be losing business left and right. This is who and what's representing your establishment. Crap rolls downhill (starting with management such as Jeff) and affects everything else within your business.

I recommend you start taking a closer look before things get worse.

Do not recommend, will not return.

I was the table of two sitting next to the person who wrote the review before this. The restaurant was huge, and totally empty. The waitress, I think her name was Jen, sat a family of 4 next to us about a foot from us. Lovely family but the space was crammed and we were having a very personal conversation, so we moved tables. During this time, she also let me know that the menu was outdated, and that the items marked gluten free had gluten, while others had gluten when they said they didn’t… she ended up giving me food contaminated with gluten that she claimed was gluten free, and I have a horrible rash now.

The waitress came out (this is after she was ignoring us for a very long time, and forgot the chips and salsa order we placed..) and literally rolled her eyes and scowled at us and mumbled something rude to us under her breath. She then aggressively grabbed all of the silverware and napkins off our table and left us with no napkins and no water refills, once the food came. We had to grab napkins and plates off the neighboring empty table. A group of people came in, she seated them, then just walked away. Another couple came in. Same thing. We were all left with no beverages, no table service to order food or as questions. She forgot half our order and never returned. We wanted more tacos, but weren’t able to order them. When she dropped off the check, she hadn’t event asked if we were ready to close out. We weren’t, but then she stormed off and was folding napkins while several tables were turning their heads to look for her to order. We had to walk up to the host to close our check.

The tacos were good, but not good enough to justify the horrific service. That waitress is losing the restaurant money, customers, and intentionally giving patrons food that contains disclosed allergens. She is a walking liability for this local establishment. Do not recommend until the owners hire competent management and waitstaff who know how to treat paying customers. Reading the reviews, staff mistreatment of customers dates back more than a year, so ownership is aware of the issues and chooses to look the other way. There are many fine restaurants in Denver to spend your hard earned money. This is not one of them.

Came in when the restaurant was empty except for 1 other table of 2 people. For some reason we were sat right next to this 1 other table. So close to them I'd say there was 1 foot of space between our tables. Very awkward so the other table got up and moved. The chicken on the nachos tasted like nothing, as did both the rice and beans. Everything else had minimal flavor. The prices are outrageous, especially for little to zero flavor. The design in the restaurant is very vibrant and fun though.

Food is mid. Service sucks. For a “Mexican” restaurant, it’s Latino customers are treated as inferior. Waiters don’t even speak Spanish— but the main issue was that we were definitely not in a safe space to be authentically Latino since staff is clearly judgemental. I would seek elsewhere that’s actually authentic and Mexican-owned.

“Bottomless” mimosas are not actually bottomless if you are not white.

Our server was great but the food left much to be desired. My plate was half hot and half cold which let me know that this place relies more on reheating than actual cooking.

It was alright, one of the waitresses gave a bit of an attitude. My wife, understandably, couldn't think striayafter a 9 hours drive and had trouble deciding. The waitress was clearly annoyed but put on her game face. Then proceeded to card my wife and insisted on it which actually annoyed us both. Because she took a long time to review everything before saying, ok you're 32. I'm 43 and she didn't even card me and I look much younger than most men my age. We avoided going back despite staying at the hotel all week.

I would not revisit Kachina for brunch. My two girlfriends and I had a reservation, but they sat us out in the hotel lobby area rather than inside the restaurant. I think it was this table that caused our server to keep forgetting about us. It took forever to get our drink order in, to get our drinks, and to get our food. Inside the restaurant definitely seemed like a vibe, so it was disappointing we didn't get to sit there. My friend got the carnitas skillet and our biggest issue with the food was that dish - it only had one completely fatty bite of carnitas in the whole dish! The huevos were nothing to write home about. It was overpriced and disappointing.

Twice I’ve been here. Both times it’s been terrible. Not even decent…terrible. How this has a 4.1 is beyond me. The food sucks. The service sucks. The atmosphere sucks. Everything about this place sucks. Who puts squash in cheese enchiladas? Kachina does! Who puts five tortilla chips in a salad and calls it a taco salad? Kachina does! The elotes are pretty good, but definitely not enough to justify everything that’s wrong about this restaurant. Don’t eat here. Don’t give them your business. Don’t give them your money. Just skip it.

Light and fresh Mexican/Southwestern faire in Downtown Denver. The fry bread option for the taco is a cant-miss if you only have a chance to eat here once. Good menu with "something for everyone."

Overpriced. Cold tortillas. Mixed up orders, cold draft.

Opportunistic, kitschy, and bigoted staff. The white couple next to us got a ton of engagement from the server but she was curt with us despite us being kind and patient.

Also heard about 4 glass items break at the bar, which was a nice touch to what was supposed to be a romantic night out.

Atmosphere was nice but ended super early on a New Year’s Eve. Service was not great. And food was terrible. The salads were way too spicy when not announced spicy on the menu and the rest was just not very good. Nachos were ok but super expensive!! Our family of 5 ended up spending over $150 even though they didn’t charge 2 salads and we came back hungry and disappointed.

The food, drinks and atmosphere are good. Visited there recently for the first time. My seat was filled with crumbs from the previous customer and it looked like my napkin hadn’t been washed. Server rushed us through our meal!! For chips and guacamole, two entrees and 4 drinks…the total was well over a hundred dollars before tip. Will be reluctant to return.
