Unfortunately, I feel like this place has gone downhill over the last few years. When I came 3 years ago it was some of the best food I’d ever had. When I visited today the restaurant smelled like the bathroom, the chimichanga I got was in pieces and was not cooked through, and the service was awful.

I had a great experience at Kahlo's tonight. Tried the vegan street tacos and vegan Horchata. Yum! I'll be back.

This place was amazing! I am vegetarian and it's hard to find places that serve traditional Mexican food for me. I can't stress how good it was. My boyfriend (meat eater) tried the tamale with me and we agreed it was the best tamale we have ever had.

Very disappointing. Tried it a 2nd time then looked to see what my review said from before, but it was gone.
They delete bad reviews so don't trust the rating.

I was so excited to bring my fiancee here because when I’ve come one time before it was incredible. I was actually embarrassed at how awful it has become. Our waiter clearly didn’t want to be here. Every drink i asked for he said they didn’t have. The chips were so stale they bent like rubber. The beans were cold, the rice had zero flavor. My fiancées grilled onions were clearly made on a dirty grill. I’m so bummed, my fiancee said she’ll never come back and i have to agree.

Food was nasty and sloppy. Carnitas in Flautas plate was dry, and not crunchy bite to the flauta. Beans were good and rice was decent but food had a weird taste. Don’t recommend for the $20 price.

Appreciate that there are so many vegan options, but I don’t know if I’ve ever had worse Mexican food in my life. Chips are doused in rancid oil you can smell & taste strongly. Bean dip is oily and watery at the same time. Flautas were strangely sweet, nothing comes with onion, cilantro, lime, etc. Salsa definitely seems to not be made in house.

I’m begging Denver vegans to raise their standards.

We appreciated all of the vegan options however we would not give a rating above a 2 star. We are yet again disappointed with the quality of Mexican food in Denver. I don't see how people gave such high ratings. The website does not match the tired atmosphere. The food had no soul. No passion. Salsa was boring, flavorless like tomato sauce. The chips were stale and tasted of rancid oil. The chili fries were obviously frozen crinkle fries. No character, no spice in the sauce on top. Nothing looked freshly made or from fresh ingredients. No cilantro. The beans were so soupy. If they were going to serve vegan at least have a good sauce. I could make a better salsa.

Very good food. Hard to order due to language barrier but we worked through it. Quiet and unique atmosphere. Good vegan and vegetarian options!

Kahlo’s is a regular go-to for me and my friends! There are so many options to choose from. I absolutely love the vegan flautas, and the tostada is amazing too! Their beans are delicious! It can be difficult to find vegan Mexican food, but Kahlo’s nails it! The vibe is super cool, I love the Frida theme! Severs are always very nice and are knowledgeable about vegan options. And vegan horchata?! Amazing!

My husband and I got there an hour before they closed and it was completely empty expect for one other couple. BUT our waiter was excellent and the food was great! Our waiter was very nice and super accommodating, she took time to walk us through the vegan options. We had a horchata, a burrito and cactus tacos (waiters recommendation). I have never tried cactus before and was a bit hesitant but it was really good! Overall, great food, lots of options, friendly staff. Would go again!
