Got seated 20 minutes past reservation, took another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order, then another 20 minutes to bring out broth. Service was overall slow after that and the food was mid. Then to rub salt in the wound, they REQUIRE 20% tip. It's almost as if requiring tip doesn't give the staff any incentive to do a good job.
Cannot recommend the sukiyaki enough! And judging by the massive amount of sushi my husband and sons ate it was pretty good too!
Service was a bit slow but sushi delish. Hot pot looked fun for next time. Also please offer more non alcoholic drink choices.
Food is amazing, and the happy hour specials are very good, however, the service was, well, weird.
While we sat and waited to order, only one other couple in the restaurant, the waitress for our table was doing side work, and afterward, kept forgetting to bring items we had ordered. She did not charge us the stated happy hour prices, on half of the items, when the bill arrived.
Overall it was a great experience, but at least one server needs some re-training and more attention to detail.

Sushi was good, especially the blue fin tuna which was excellent. Salmon very good. Service was ok, a little bit on the slow side.
I’m not a big sushi eater, but this was a very pleasant sushi eating experience. I cast all caution to the wind and just went for it and had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back.

This was my grand daughter's choice for her birthday dinner (she's 7)!! She made the same choice for her 6th. Very fun night for her celebration. Delicious healthy food and fun interactive cooking around the table. Service was amazing!! Hope this will be our birthday tradition!!

Food was absolutely delicious — it instantly brought me back to when I visited Japan. They truly keep the essence of Japan alive here. The service was amazing too — super friendly and inviting. I loved the entire experience! It was my birthday, and they even surprised our table with complimentary shots, which made it extra special. We ordered the shabu shabu with the Golden Canyon ribeye... OH. MY. GEE. The ribeye literally melted in my mouth. The drinks were also to die for — you can tell they put a lot of creativity and thought into crafting a menu that perfectly complements the food. I'm 100% coming back. Highly recommend — this is hands down my favorite Japanese spot!
Amazing food and experience, definitely try the ramen slider!

Came here with 5 friends. It was a great atmosphere and while the service was a bit slow, it could have been that they just allowed us a lot of time for conversation and weren’t too pushy… which I appreciated. Food options were all good and the cocktails were well made also. Overall a good place for a date night or to come out with a small group of friends. Also had a nice patio but we were seated inside.

Great spot! One of the LoHi originals, they’ve been around a long time for a reason.
Shabu Shabu is excellent, highly recommend the miso broth and splurging on the wagyu, it melts in your mouth.
Good cocktails too!
