Came in here a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner, they had just started to test out their fall or winter food? The service here was amazing, what you’d expect and hope for from a fine dining experience. The cocktails were great and the food was exciting, new and experimental. I had flavors and textures that I have never had before here. The ponzu to this day was one of the best things I’ve ever had. It was a cool art form especially the salad course. I’d recommend coming here as an experience and enjoy yourself. The chef explains every dish to you. It was very cool. I’ll have to try their next menu soon.

We had an incredible dinner and experience! The team is stellar — Hansel, Tyler, Chef James and the rest of the kitchen team are amazing at what they do. Thoughtful and beautifully executed. We can’t wait to come back!

Underrated. Chef James is crafting some of the most delicious and exceptional dishes in Denver. The eight course prix fixe menu included oysters, lobster, bluefin tuna, halibut, beef tendon, ravioli, and fresh veggies prepared with a panoply of unique flavors, sauces, and textures. That, along with the beautiful presentation and chill vibe, made for a lovely dinner. It was the best seafood I've had in Colorado and rivals anything you'll find anywhere in the world.

This place is a gem, perfect for a special occasion, and a wonderful addition to the local food scene. It is a bit pricey, but you'll pay 2-3x for the same meal in NYC.

Forsooth! This was such an exciting 7 course meal and worth every cent. Each dish was unique but not bizarre and lo and behold I was full in the end. The small, quaint space makes you feel special and allows you to really narrow in on the fare. Very comfortable and great music.

Not just Japanese food too which surprised me. We had halibut ravioli for crying out loud.

My favorite was the lobster gazpacho, although the single best oyster of my life will be locked in my memories forever.

This place seems to focus a lot on ingredients, presentation, and training the staff. I really hope they thrive bc they were slow but it was Tuesday night, beginning of the school year.

This place is phenomenal and anyone looking for a nice tasting menu should definitely give this place a shot.

We sat at the chefs counter, which includes a few additional surprise plates, and allows you to not only see the chefs at work but also ask them questions through out. All the chefs and staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which added to the experience.

One super cool thing about this place, too, is that they have two farms at which they source the majority of their produce. There were a lot of unique items you wouldn’t necessarily get to try shopping at a normal grocery.

If I could afford it, I would go back every season to try the new menus.

I want to start this review by saying I’ve been here twice. Both times the service was amazing - Tyler greeted me with a very friendly and warm energy that made me feel like I was coming over to my family’s house for dinner. The chefs come out and say hello, you can tell they enjoy their craft and want to engage with the restaurant attendees. The food is fun, flavorful, and unique! The wine pairings and food combinations can sometimes influence the flavor profiles of either the wine or the food. Definitely a place I recommend visiting at least once!

Celebrating a successful Q2 with a friend, we ventured to Koko Ni in Denver, enticed by the glowing recommendations on Offline Denver and their partnership offering discounts. Little did we know, we were in for an unforgettable culinary journey.

From the moment we stepped in, the experience was exceptional. A friendly confirmation call from Tyler ensured a smooth arrival, and our host/server Gustavo was the picture of attentiveness and warmth.

The 10-course omakase menu, a chef's choice masterpiece, was a revelation. Each dish, a work of art in itself, showcased the freshest seasonal ingredients and Chef James' masterful execution. Standouts included the vibrant carrot dish, the delicate asparagus presentation, the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, and the surprisingly delightful flat iron mushroom creation.

The expertly paired drinks further elevated the experience. The tart Sour provided a refreshing counterpoint to richer flavors, while the Apricot and the Nishide 'Moromi' offered unique complexities that danced on the palate.

Koko Ni isn't just a meal; it's an experience. The focus on fresh, local ingredients, the artistic presentation, and the attentive service combined to create a truly memorable evening. We learned their menu changes every 6-8 months, providing the perfect excuse for a return visit. Consider us loyal fans!

Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone seeking an exceptional omakase experience in Denver.

Koko Ni is easily one of the top three restaurants in Denver up there with Beckon. The food was creative and delicious! The wait staff were very knowledgeable and excited to chat about each course and pairing.

The cocktail pairing was innovative and definitely the best drink pairing I’ve had. Each pairing went so well with the course and included not just cocktails but sake, cider, and a mead as well. An absolute standout was the pear brandy and rye sour with honey foam and marigold. Props to Koko Ni for the very memorable experience
