I've eaten here a couple times at lunch and was pretty satisfied. I've gotten the pork belly and a short rib special, and they were both flavorful and filling. I'm not sure what people are expecting when they read Michelin star, but the donburi bowl concept is built on simplicity. I love a good poke bowl, but that's not what this is. When you go, expect maybe six ingredients, a lot of rice, a fried egg, quality meats and some really tasty sauces. All made to order, and the people in the cart are always extremely nice. I don't go everyday, and I'm not saying all the choices around CBD aren't going to be more attractive sometimes for price and diversity, but I like coming here occasionally for a simple meal that doesn't leave me hungry two hours later. I'm giving it five stars mostly because it's a new place, and I don't think the two one-star reviews below are fair or accurately represent what you get when you go.

Michelin star claiber dishes??? I definitely did not taste that tonight. Also they advertise fresh ingredients, wow didn't get that tonight either. Firstly I got fooled by their sign saying Michelin star claiber dishes. So I tried them and had their special which was the short rib with mushrooms. It was absolutely the worst short rib I have ever had. The short rib was salty, over cooked, and not sure how they cooked it but it definitely wasn't grilled as most short ribs are. The mushroom was just as salty. It seems as both the short rib and mushrooms were probably sitting in marinade for over a day and sucked up all the salty marinade. Whatever they are doing they need to stop false advertising Michelin star caliber dishes unless they start cooking Michelin star caliber food!!! Until then don't get suckered into going here. If I had an option for no stars that would have been my rating.

I'm not gonna lie to pay 14 dollars and only get 6 ingredients including rice is crazy! I can get double the or triple the portion at poke city or sushi cup this is absurd! Not worth it at all I'd rather order delivery from sushi cup than buy a 14 dollar bowl for 6 measly ingredients with like one scoop of fish!
