Food was decent but service was very disappointing given price point. Wait staff is unmotivated to earn tips given automatic 20% charge and it shows. Extremely underwhelming experience and will not be going back!

Everything we ate was fabulous, unexpected flavors that really made the whole experience an adventure. The Wildflower drink was such a tasty one and the house music playing had us dancing in our seats. Definitely going to be coming back!

Very pretentious. The establishment appeared to prioritize a certain standard of attire, which may limit access for potential patrons not conforming to their expectations, thereby potentially alienating a segment of the clientele seeking refined dining experiences in Colorado. We had an event after dinner so we dressed more alternative than a normal date night. Despite our anticipation of experiencing Kumoya’s offerings, our attempt to secure a table was met with constraints, as reservations were fully booked, prompting us to explore the possibility of a walk-in arrangement. Regrettably, upon our arrival at 6:30, the only accommodation offered was seating at the bar, which proved impractical for our group of four, given the nature of our occasion. Despite inquiring about the waitlist, we were informed that no availability would arise until 8 PM or later. Our disappointment was compounded by witnessing another group of 5 size, arriving without reservations, promptly accommodated while we were turned away, despite observed vacancies within the restaurant. This incident serves as a gentle reminder to Kumoya that customer perception and financial capacity may not always align with external appearances.

Amazing experience as a whole. I've recommended to multiple people already and ever person has thanked me for this recommendation and said "10/10"

The food is not very good, it's overpriced, and the portions are small. I don't mind paying a lot for good food but unfortunately this is not good food. The nice atmosphere doesn't make it for it. If you don't mind overpriced, bad, small portion hipster creations, then knock yourself out, otherwise I would recommend skipping.

Second time here and we came back bc the first time was outstanding. However this time the service was poor and we had to continually ask for plates, clearing drinks, remind them to send a dessert menu, etc. The rolls were delicious but the skewers and mushrooms were sub par. We all agreed we wont return particularly bc its also so pricey!

I really wanted to fall in love with this place but it wasn't meant to be. Came in on Valentine's Day and the ambiance is super vibey and trendy. When it came to the food, the prices of each dish were expensive and the portions are very small. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but didn't think the price matched the quality of the food. The menu is small and there are limited options. As the waiter mentioned that they are open late and there is a DJ that spins on certain nights, I'm thinking this is more of a chill spot where you can snack instead of expecting a meal that can put you into a food coma.

The sashimi was delicious but the rest of the dishes that we ordered weren’t all that interesting or well executed.Lighting and aesthetic are well done however the restaurant as a whole simply feels like a place to see and be seen. Bumping house music on a Tuesday... personally not my vibe. For the price and atmosphere I would like a higher level of service and knowledge of the menu from my server. I am a big dessert person, but unfortunately none of the dessert options were all that intriguing and the one we had felt like a total afterthought.. it simply wasn't well done.Overall delicious sashimi, but I wouldn't rush back.

I recently dined at Kumoya Denver and was blown away by the delicious food and fantastic vibe of the restaurant. The sashimi's were incredibly fresh and expertly curated, leaving me wanting more with each bite. The price was reasonable for the high quality of food that I received. The servers at Kumoya were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, taking the time to walk me through each dish and drink option. My partner and I had an amazing experience, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it the perfect spot for a date night or a night out with friends.Overall, I highly recommend Kumoya Denver for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The food, vibe, and service all exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another meal soon.

The food at Kumoya was wonderful. We had the wagyu tartar and yakitori to start. Highly recommend the tartar - it was perfection. We then jump right into some nigiri, trying the chu toro, otoro, king salmon, uni and a few others. Our waiter wasn't great, which impacted our evening. I will say the food runners and other team members were wonderful.

Great sushi with unique items and fish I had never tried. Service was good but not spectacular. Everything was VERY expensive. That being said, unique dishes cost money! So, mostly worth the price.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. The staff was very friendly but everything else was underwhelming. $320 later for only two of us, we left unsatisfied for one of the most expensive meals we've had together. The portions at this price are small. The rolls are $20-$30 each, which I haven't seen prices like that even at the best sushi spots. If you want wasabi with your roll, expect to pay an additional fee. The toro tuna tartar is mixed with too many ingredients that the toro is lost. Furthermore, everything is extremelyyy salty. You'll see this mentioned in other reviews. At this price point, you would also expect clean dishes and silverware to be brought after each course. Instead, we were left with our dirty dishes in front of us while the food runners quickly dropped off the next dish and vanished.Lastly, having not been there before, we were sat in the separate room by the bathrooms. The ambiance there is lacking. Perhaps it's better in the main dining room but more should have been done to connect the two. I wish Kumoya well as running a restaurant is tough business but also wanted to provide my honest feedback.

The food was good but I was a little disappointed. We planned a double birthday dinner and it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Nothing. After such an expensive meal where people surely are celebrating events, something would have been nice for 2 birthday celebrators at the table. No dessert, no acknowledgment. I was just at a birthday dinner at Uchi that was a completely different experience.I also will say that our server was not very knowledgeable. I know it’s hard to know the whole menu well but for a meal that is supposed to be a culinary experience, a server that knew what we were ordering would have been nice when we had questions.

Shout out to Ashley, Clair and Kale for a wonderful night at the back bar. Always fantastic food and cocktails. Be ready for a higher volume of music in the back. If you want quiet stick to the tables or sushi bar.
