A truly transcendent experience if you like amazing food. Also the drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful with a wide range of equally vibey sections. I’m a huge fan. DO NOT SKIP THE CHEESE EMPANADAS!!!
Very Tasty good, and everyone working there is very respectful and friendly. It is a cut place inside, it feels airy and open, also with a very nice patio. Overall a pleasant experience. Also Food is reasonably priced, especially for the portions given.
This was my third time coming and unfortunately, my last. The food is delicious but the service I received that day wasn’t great. My sister ordered the chorizo arepa and when it arrived, we were surprised to see it was not chorizo. They gave us salchichas. We told the server that this was not the chorizo we thought it was, and instead of fixing the mistake, he said there’s nothing they can do about it. I asked him if she could have a different arepa since it’s not chorizo and he said he would still have to charge me for the chorizo arepa and for the different arepa she wanted to order instead. He was unapologetic and rude when he said this. Most restaurants would go the extra mile to make sure their customers return but this establishment did not do this. At the very least, they should have a picture of what the “chorizo” arepa looks like so others don’t make the same mistake.
Very good authentic Colombian food, service was kind and friendly.. def will come back.
The sancocho is really good
I was finally able to take my dad (native Colombian) here and he absolutely loved it. He said so many things reminded him of home and the way his family made dishes. He said the empanadas are the best he’s ever had and better than the ones he grew up with! Fantastic atmosphere, the staff are absolutely lovely and I’m always excited to go back.
Great find!! Amazing food and allergy friendly! Will be returning again.
Food looked good. Drinks looked good.. We were seated in a semi-empty lounge, given water, and ignored for over 20 minutes while the staff either stood around or helped every table but ours. We left.
Very fun spot with delicious food!

Pretty authentic colombian "paisa " food. From empanadas to bandejas. The service was a bit off after we got our meals. Needed another beverages but they never came back so I never ordered about drink. Also, I had to go to thr bar to close out my check. Aside from this, food and atmosphere was great

My friends and I visited for the 1st time, the patio dining is relaxing and perfectly spaced between tables. Service was amazing. I had no issue with the auto gratuity included because of the service we received. The food..... I was able to finish it all. The flavors were great, but it seemed like something was missing. The last time I had Colombian was in Mami and I left fully satisfied. I don't know what was missing for me at La Chiva compared to my previous experience with this cuisine, but out of the other options in Denver/Aurora, LA Chiva is the spot for Colombian Cuisine.
