Tacos are trash for 5 dollars, no refills on drinks so I paid 5 dollars for an 8 oz cucumber lime drink, and this place has no air conditioning. Add a 18 percent service charge and this might be top 3 worst places i’ve eaten in Denver.
Wow what a disappointment. I was expecting their $6-7 tacos to be pretty decent, but the tortilla was hard and stale, the steak was old and chewy, and the queso was freezing cold. You would think the $4 service fee would at least get you a smile when ordering at the counter, but apparently not. Don’t forget it’s 100 degrees inside too so bring your own fan & water.
This is a really nice counter serve restaurant with good options for food and drinks. Not the absolute best mexican option in Denver but the food is a good value and the staff is friendly and helpful. Pretty decent happy hour deals as well!
Best Tacos in Denver! If you think otherwise you are wrong
First time visiting La Loteria oh my goodness this place is to dye for! The minute you walk in you’re greeted by such a warm beautiful welcome. The food is absolutely delicious, the micheladas are out of this world! The owner Edgar is awesome, literally makes you feel like family. I highly recommend coming down to check out this restaurant you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much again Edgar to you and your beautiful family. May God continue to bless your business with growth.
Edgar and his whole family were amazing . They make you feel at home very welcoming . Been able to chat about almost everything . You don’t see that everywhere . The food is delicious. Try the micheladas while listening to the best music to accompany your michelada . I’ve never visited a place where you go in and become friends with everyone including the person eating next to you .. best experience ever . Como check it out you won’t be disappointed.
Great flavors, good price and great value.
This place is very overrated. Went there cause I seen some posts about it... Ordered food and it was awful. The fries were the best part, and they were mid at best. Tacos and tamales had no flavor, no spice, no nothing.
Also got triple charged for my already overpriced order and have yet to be refunded. Don't eat here... So many better options in Denver for good authentic Mexican.

Great food the tamales were delicious! We tried the green chili with pork it lacked the pork and was more like a non spicy salsa. The soda foubatin was a little high for the kids to get drinks. They were a little slow getting food out. Chicken tacos were also amazing.

Borderline criminal activity at this restaurant. Having a California Burrito on the menu and bringing it to the table covered in green slop should be a criminal offense. Still tasted great, but false advertising is illegal in this country. Burrito with a fork and a knife is not only un-American, It is also un-Mexican.

When I tell you this food is amazing, it’s a complete understatement. The fried avacado taco, the elote, and the pork green chili soup, all are the tops!!!!!
