I recently dined at this restaurant and began my meal with the cheese board, which was a delightful experience—each bite was a perfect harmony of flavors that I would gladly order again. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t quite live up to the promising start. I opted for the steak frites while my uncle chose the steak au poivre, both cooked medium rare. However, they arrived well done, which was a bit disappointing.
After notifying our server, the steaks were sent back for a proper fix. When they returned(after 35 minutes) the steaks were cooked correctly but fell short in overall quality, and my fries, unfortunately, were the same ones that had been served initially—cold and lacking the crispness we hoped for. We dined with 4 people and ended up eating spectate dinners due to the timing.
While the cheese board was a highlight, the main meal experience left much to be desired. It's a shame, as I was looking forward to a wonderful dining experience. For now, I think I’ll explore other options for my next meal out.

I have been here a few times, but most recently came to La Merise for a birthday brunch with a group of 4. We sat on the patio, which was shaded and a good vibe.
The Stroganoff Crêpe and Seafood Crêpe are in the picture - They were good, and the crêpes are a fun signature offering at La Merise and a nice mix-up from your traditional brunch selections.
La Merise is a rare find in Cherry Creek area for bottomless mimosas, although I would say the service and refills were a little less attentive than other bottomless locations throughout Denver.
This restaurant was so cute and so yummy. I have the Beet Salad and the Saumon Gravlax. My friend had the Pork Medallions. Every single bite of food was so amazing especially the Pork Medallions dish. The wine was impeccable and pour on the wine was a perfect amount. Our waiter was a sweetheart and was caIm and happy. The atmosphere was romantic and felt like I was in Paris. will be coming back!

Very Unclean here ; I witnessed them taking out smelly trash binds through the patio where people were eating. Then the same man brought us our food shortly after and his hands did not look clean after handling trash but he used a napkins so he did not to touch our plates? The salt and pepper shakers were filthy with grime on them and hadn’t been cleaned. I ordered the vegetarian crepe which was sloppily thrown together with a large clump of spinach drenched in oil in the middle of it.They actually served us spoiled food here. The artichoke had reddish brown spots on it tell tale signs of it being spoiled, and the cheese had a couple mold spots on it I asked for the general manager and was told she’s gone til Monday. They are masquerading as a 5 star fine dining experience and serving slop! Or bill was $80 for two entrees an ice tea and salad. . I will never go here again. Also inside it’s very dated and musty. They are cutting corners with the quality and freshness of their food. The “shift manager” I spoke to could care less and told me I should’ve brought these things to his attention sooner then he could take care of it for us but since I waited til I left to call in he can no longer assist. He was also the one handling trash then serving food. He has to know they are serving spoiled food here and he’s running the place while the owner is gone?

The filet mignon with cream peppercorn sauce was excellent, the beef bourguignon was reasonably good.
I very strongly recommend that you do not order the crème brûlée, you will likely be disappointed. I do not have anything polite to say about it.
The service was fairly good.

Everything about this place was lovely. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and I ordered trout and he ordered the pork medallions and we both LOVED what we got! Highly recommend for a fancy dinner out with a loved one.

One of our favorite restaurants in Denver! We’ve been coming here for years, and the food has always been great! For lunch, their Rueben sandwich is the best we’ve ever had. During our recent lunch visit, the beef bourguignon, one of their dinner menu items and sometimes on the lunch special menu, wasn’t on the menu. I mentioned that I was disappointed that it wasn’t there, but our server offered to check with the kitchen to see if they could prepare it. She came back, telling me they could prepare it, except with rice or pasta, instead of the mashed potatoes that it’s normally served with. I quickly ordered it with the rice. I love it with potatoes, but the seasoned rice that came out with the dish was an excellent substitute!

The food is not particularly good, the service is fine, ambiance is lackluster, location is good, noise level inside is atrocious.
The lower value on service had nothing to do with the server, she was fantastic She was just buried all night, they need to get a busser to support the waiters

Great experience. We were not rushed and were able to talk and enjoy. the food was wonderful. A bit loud.
La Merise al fresco on a beautiful summer evening on their patio. Service was prompt and friendly. Menu is varied with seafood, veal, salads, crepes, pate, steaks and more. I chose steak au poivre, cooked to order with black peppercorn sauce, au gratin potatoes and steamed vegetables. Tasty. Their interior is very French bistro decor. I will be back. Au revoir!
We celebrated our anniversary here this year as La Merise has become one of our special occasion go to spots. It did not disappoint. Although it had been a hot day, the temperatures had dropped enough that sitting on their charming patio was quite pleasant. Service was attentive and friendly as always. And the food was spectacular. I started with oysters, which were plump, briny, and delicious. Then we both enjoyed the beet salad with orange and goat cheese followed by the lovely salmon on sauteed spinach. My partner ended her meal with a Nutella crepe, which she always enjoys and I had bananas foster. Although not prepared table side with the flare of seeing the bananas being flambéed, it's a good preparation and quite tasty. This meal reinforced why we like La Merise so much.
We came to eat on 7/29 for my birthday. I was not super impressed. Food was good, once we recieved our dishes. They took my food allergy seriously and I did not get sick. However, my husband's steak was over cooked. They replaced the steak and the replacement was cooked perfectly. But we did not recieve the replacement in a timely manner. I was essentially finished with my meal by the time the server came to check in to see if our food was tasted good! Essentially the server was NOT very attentive. There were also MICE running around inside & outside the resturant! We sat on the patio next to the front door while my husband was finishing his dinner and I was eating dessert; the kitchen staff proceeded to take out all the trash right by our table like 6 different bags and it smelled pretty unappetizing. We were still eating! I mentioned all of these issues to the waitstaff. We paid full price for our meal. Overall not super impressed and we will NOT be returning.

Pretty sure I went with the Oceanna Salad—the one piled with crab and shrimp—and zero regrets there. Also tried the soup du jour, which turned out to be a fish broth with some mystery legumes, and honestly, it worked. Bonus points for portions that didn’t follow the French “still hungry?” philosophy. Left full and pleased with myself.
