We love this place! Cozy, calming, friendly warmth, consistently delicious food - especially the mussels in wine sauce!! Never a bad mussel - ever!
The food here is always good, the service is pleasant, and the atmosphere can't be beat. They do a great job with raw oysters and I enjoyed them thoroughly. The onion soup is special on a cool afternoon, and the french fries always something to look forward to. My friend had the crabcakes with salad and was very pleased.
We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. There were eight of us. We started with the escargot and pate, and both were excellent. We also had the onion soup which everyone loved. The beet salad was also very refreshing. All the entrées were very good and included Ample sides so it was not necessary to order side dishes. The restaurant is cozy and feels like you're in a French bistro. It is a perfect atmosphere for enjoying French food!
Best brunch in Denver! Delicious with lovely presentation. Wonderful service. Menu with lots of variety. Can't wait to return!
I absolutely LOVED this restaurant. One of my favorite spots I've tried in Denver. I will definitely be going back!
We looked forward to our visit - we've lived in the area for awhile snd wanted to try it. We were the 3rd table seated on a Sunday night and learnt bottles of wine were 50% - a pleasant surprise. My Gorgonzola salad was delicious and then it went downhill from there. All of a sudden the room filled up. Our food took a very long time and once it came both our entrees were cold. I had the puffed pastry salmon which was a special and the pastry was soggy it was sitting so long. When we spoke to the server he said he would see what he could do. When he came back, he acted like nothing was wrong and asked us if we wanted dessert! Obviously the kitchen was overwhelmed and they decided to write us off and move on. The hostess' response was “I'll speak to the server”. We won't be back. It is too bad. We liked the ambiance, the menu and the (cold) food had good flavor. Not worth paying $36 for entrees sitting too long on a counter. The deciding factor was staff not caring enough to want to make it right.
Our meals were delicious and beautifully presented, albeit a bit pricey. We enjoyed our dinner with friends from out of town who “loved” La Merise. We'll return, definitely!
Food very good; creme brûlée was watery and burnt. Waiter was inattentive and disappeared much of the evening.
It's a classy French restaurant, you expect bread. After drinks and oysters, I asked, "where's the bread?' "Oh, it's in the kitchen." She promised us bread. After our salads, with no bread in sight, I got up from the table, which you should never have to do, walked around the place, and found our waitress and said, "where's the bread?" She said, " oh, there must have been a miscommunication." REALLY? Waitress doesn't keep track of what's happening at her tables? Come on, a place this pricy should do much better. Please give our waitress additional training.
I recently dined at this restaurant and began my meal with the cheese board, which was a delightful experience—each bite was a perfect harmony of flavors that I would gladly order again. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t quite live up to the promising start. I opted for the steak frites while my uncle chose the steak au poivre, both cooked medium rare. However, they arrived well done, which was a bit disappointing.
After notifying our server, the steaks were sent back for a proper fix. When they returned(after 35 minutes) the steaks were cooked correctly but fell short in overall quality, and my fries, unfortunately, were the same ones that had been served initially—cold and lacking the crispness we hoped for. We dined with 4 people and ended up eating spectate dinners due to the timing.
While the cheese board was a highlight, the main meal experience left much to be desired. It's a shame, as I was looking forward to a wonderful dining experience. For now, I think I’ll explore other options for my next meal out.

I have been here a few times, but most recently came to La Merise for a birthday brunch with a group of 4. We sat on the patio, which was shaded and a good vibe.
The Stroganoff Crêpe and Seafood Crêpe are in the picture - They were good, and the crêpes are a fun signature offering at La Merise and a nice mix-up from your traditional brunch selections.
La Merise is a rare find in Cherry Creek area for bottomless mimosas, although I would say the service and refills were a little less attentive than other bottomless locations throughout Denver.
This restaurant was so cute and so yummy. I have the Beet Salad and the Saumon Gravlax. My friend had the Pork Medallions. Every single bite of food was so amazing especially the Pork Medallions dish. The wine was impeccable and pour on the wine was a perfect amount. Our waiter was a sweetheart and was caIm and happy. The atmosphere was romantic and felt like I was in Paris. will be coming back!

Very Unclean here ; I witnessed them taking out smelly trash binds through the patio where people were eating. Then the same man brought us our food shortly after and his hands did not look clean after handling trash but he used a napkins so he did not to touch our plates? The salt and pepper shakers were filthy with grime on them and hadn’t been cleaned. I ordered the vegetarian crepe which was sloppily thrown together with a large clump of spinach drenched in oil in the middle of it.They actually served us spoiled food here. The artichoke had reddish brown spots on it tell tale signs of it being spoiled, and the cheese had a couple mold spots on it I asked for the general manager and was told she’s gone til Monday. They are masquerading as a 5 star fine dining experience and serving slop! Or bill was $80 for two entrees an ice tea and salad. . I will never go here again. Also inside it’s very dated and musty. They are cutting corners with the quality and freshness of their food. The “shift manager” I spoke to could care less and told me I should’ve brought these things to his attention sooner then he could take care of it for us but since I waited til I left to call in he can no longer assist. He was also the one handling trash then serving food. He has to know they are serving spoiled food here and he’s running the place while the owner is gone?

The filet mignon with cream peppercorn sauce was excellent, the beef bourguignon was reasonably good.
I very strongly recommend that you do not order the crème brûlée, you will likely be disappointed. I do not have anything polite to say about it.
The service was fairly good.
