We heard so many good things about Le Colonial and definitely were not impressed by our experience. We had a birthday reservation and were given the smallest table, two small plates and a drink and you don’t have much space. The service took LONG our cocktails didn’t come out until way after our small plates and our dinner came out. There seemed to be some confusion with the servers as two different ones were helping one better than the other. Then, at the end we asked for a to go container and the waiter put both meals into one container. The food was good but not worth the hiccups and loud dinner atmosphere. The Lychee martini was the by far the best thing!

Interesting, creative menu with mostly delicious food. We ate at the bar and the bartender was great. And even though the decor is beautiful, the repetitive loud house music completely distracted and annoyed us.
This restaurant could easily enhance the experience by replacing the music with a cool Vietnamese vibe at a decibel level more conducive to dinner conversation. Also, the detectable are too close together - why we chose the bar.

Beautiful drinks and food! Service generally good, but felt rushed during our last visit.

Le Colonial offers a refined and elegant dining experience in Denver, marked by exceptional service and an atmosphere that feels truly special. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attentiveness and professionalism stood out, elevating the evening to something memorable.
Although billed as a French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant, the menu and flavors lean strongly Vietnamese, with only subtle nods to French influence. Rather than a true fusion, the experience feels more like an upscale Vietnamese culinary journey—deeply flavorful, beautifully plated, and clearly crafted with care.
Each dish is thoughtfully composed, delivering bold, balanced flavors that showcase the richness of Vietnamese cuisine. It's among the best Vietnamese dining I’ve had in Denver.
The only drawback: the tables for two are quite small, which makes it challenging to share multiple dishes comfortably—something to consider given that the menu encourages sharing.
Expect to spend around If not over $100 per person for a full experience, but the quality and service justify the price.

Good food, major hiccups. Bad service, unavailable dishes.

First off we waited about 15 min just to get water and drink orders. We told two separate people it was our first time in only to not be explained anything about the menu at all. I had to ask if the entrees come with rice or anything. No recommendations were made to us.

Secondly, we ordered after another long wait. We ordered the duck and the chicken clay pot. The server comes back and neither of these dishes were available. We get a menu and pick new stuff.

Food comes out. Everything is pretty yummy. The seabass was VERY fish sauce forward. Steak was super yummy but slightly beyond medium rare that was ordered.

For the price, this experience was very below the mark. They need to dial in and hopefully learn to curate the experience they’re shooting for. This is kinda making it difficult to wanna go back

Wonderful dinner! Especially liked the Japanese eggplant and sea bass dishes. We went for our anniversary, great atmosphere.

I love Le Colonial as it is a beautiful romantic restaurant with wonderful service and great food. I have dined here several times either in larger groups or on a date…always a treat

For sure it is a spendy treat but the food is wonderful. Great vegetarian dishes. Love the yellow tofu curry and tofu and mushroom noodles.

Great meat dishes: sticky ribs, shaken beef, and duck are awesome

Make a ressy and be wowed by this sexy place

Sat at a bar table the evening of July 4, which could’ve been chaotic because of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, but was just fine. We were greeted by lovely hostesses at the front who were friendly and kind. The bartender who was also our server - a young woman with the most awesome bubbly personality! - provided excellence service from the second we sat down until the end of dinner!

I can’t say enough about the food, every dish was exquisite. Very tasty, fresh out of the kitchen and some of the best Vietnamese food we’ve had in Denver. It’s a little different though, don’t come here expecting cheaper Vietnamese food from a Federal Boulevard location… not to knock that, there are many great restaurants on Federal. This is just an elevated experience with incredible cocktails (Lychee Martini is gorgeous and as delicious as it looked!), and such great attention to every detail, like changing out all cutlery between courses, and themed staff uniforms. It’s a special place with gorgeous decor and I could see bringing the whole family for a special occasion! You pay for what you get … and we loved it!

Portions are plentiful and after two starters, my husband and I only had room for one main course to split. Everything, again, was delicious, especially the fried rice with the filet mignon. Melt in your mouth and cut with a fork deliciousness. We will be back for sure!

this place is exceptional. The new hotspot and Cherry Creek definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed.

We reserved a table at Le Colonial for our anniversary dinner on a Friday night, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish.

We were quickly seated upon arrival, which was a great start to the evening. The atmosphere was elegant yet warm-perfect for a special occasion. Our server was incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions and making sure everything was just right throughout the night.

We started with the calamari appetizer which was perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. For our mains, we had the Suon Nuong (pork ribs)and the Canh Hai San (seafood bouillabaisse). Both dishes were absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone good, and the seafood soup had a rich, aromatic broth that made it a standout.

To end the night on a sweet note, we shared the warm chocolate cake. It was indulgent and comforting, with a gooey center that was the perfect finish to our meal.

Highly recommend Le Colonial for anyone looking for a refined Vietnamese fusion experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

What a fabulous experience! The food was spectacular. Our server, Chase, is on the case. He was so gracious and knowledgeable.

Overall food was delicious and came out quickly! Service was fine, but waiter kept pushing us from course to course and asked my wife 3x if she was ready for a box while she was still actively eating. The tables are extremely close to each other… like less than a foot apart so was a little overly intimate with neighbors.

Loved the beef ravioli! Papaya salad had a really unique flavor and way better than what you’re used to at Thai places that serve it. Japanese eggplant could have been an appetizer more than a side as listed ; very tender! The seafood mixed dish was very flavorful and like a Vietnamese jambalaya but much smaller than expected for the cost. Chicken curry was on point! The pineapple upside down cake was the perfect way to end the meal. 2 apps and 2
Meals and the dessert was perfect to be full but not hating ourselves !
