We heard so many good things about Le Colonial and definitely were not impressed by our experience. We had a birthday reservation and were given the smallest table, two small plates and a drink and you don’t have much space. The service took LONG our cocktails didn’t come out until way after our small plates and our dinner came out. Interesting, creative menu with mostly delicious food. We ate at the bar and the bartender was great. And even though the decor is beautiful, the repetitive loud house music completely distracted and annoyed us.
This restaurant could easily enhance the experience by replacing the music with a cool Vietnamese vibe at a decibel level more conducive to dinner conversation. Also, the detectable are too close together - why we chose the bar.
