I was invited to this place by a pharmaceutical rep while at a conference in Denver. I am a little torn. I arrived a little early, before anyone else. I was seated and I could see the waitress was very busy but she did not stop by as I waited for about 20 minutes. When the other folks arrived, the service was also slow. Again coming out the waitress is fault, she was just very busy. One of our guests was vegan and, after some confusion, they made a special dish from her, and some additional dishes for the vegetarians. I had an appetizer of the steak tartare and the scallops. The food was excellent. Service was just a little slow, but they were busy. They also didn't have a couple of the menu items available. Overall, however, everything was outweighed by the excellent food.

Me and my husband decided to try their happy hour and we had really high expectations based on the reviews. But the food really disappointed us. French onion soup was so bland that it didn’t taste like french onion soup at all. Liver mousse toast was too sweet and flavours were just weird. Spanish meatballs were bland as well and it needed some salt and spices. Beef tartar was okay but the chips were a little bit overcooked and burnt. I really liked the happy hour special 30$ bottle pf champagne and charcuterie board. It was really tasty and good value.

I stopped in for dinner during a work trip one evening. The restaurant had one other couple and me. A quiet night, great ambiance when you walk by the place, with candle lit tables, rich colors that made the place feel warm/inviting.My server was training, so he had someone else with him. She was obnoxious and a bit too much. The young gentleman was kind and attentive.Overall, I ordered the foie gras mouse (photo attached) that was piped into a thick piece of broché toast. The starter was a bit too dry and the flavors were competing with each other a bit too much. For my main, I decided on the steak frites. The entire dish was over salted, a complete sodium bomb. The fries had been overcooked and would crumble when you bit one.The presentation on both dishes was nice but this place needs to focus on the food taste not the presentation.

I’ve seen many 16th st restaurants come and go… and LeRoux will, eventually, go.From dry service to an unseasoned hockey puck of a “filet mignon,” you will be disappointed. If you’re deciding on a restaurant, exit your current search and find something else. Please.

Dining at LeRoux was lovely with its atmosphere. It was quiet with a low lighting ambiance. Beautiful interior decoration. A perfect date spot. The food was also flavorful and tasty, though not enough to justify its price point in my view. We dined with the restaurant week bargain and even at this price point felt it was skewed a bit on the expensive end. Portions were small compared to others; the raw root salad was extremely simple and not nearly as filling and didn't make sense to be priced and placed the same category as the French onion soup. Some items like the herb roasted chicken were a bit oversalted. Simple dishes are wonderful, but needs to be executed well if the price point is higher. Service was good in general, though there were times between dishes we found ourselves waiting a little too long for the next one.

Visited this restaurant again during Denver Restaurant Week, recalling a great experience from about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The drinks were fine, but the starters, including a bland French onion soup and a carrot-heavy "roots salad," lacked excitement. The highlight was the decent foie gras mousse. Main dishes, a steak (apparently filet mignon) and trout, were underwhelming; both seemed overcooked (sous-vide for hours?), resulting in a chewy, flavorless experience. I love trout with almonds but this one in particular was just terrible. I will skip to write about dessert as you can’t call a macaron, a piece of dried fruit juice and a granola covered chocolate piece dessert - photo as a reference. Despite understanding the potential quality constraints during Restaurant Week, the $240 price tag for two, with drinks and tip, left us expecting more. Sadly, we left disappointed, with no urge to return, especially as fans of French cuisine.

Was so glad to have made this choice for Restaurant Week. Enjoyed dinner with a friend who was in town for her birthday. We were so impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. The way the various servers worked together to assure we had water, fresh drinks, our food delivered hot to the table, and the dishes timely cleared was the best I've seen in quite some time. We elected the French Onion soup and the trout options. We were admittedly not all that impressed with the pate shared appetizer, but the bite-sized dessert offering was a nice touch. The soup was amazing and the trout was delightful. The green beans were prepared wonderfully with a crisp texture and nice flavoring. I would definitely return if I was staying in town; however, I leave shortly for my next travel destination.

We were eager for this French meal! We've enjoyed many meals in France, so we have some bias. The food served was good but did not measure up to any of our cafe/bistro/restaurant experiences in France. We liked our first courses. The cassoulet was mushy and bland. The steaks/filets were cooked properly. No bread was served! The desserts were very nice. The wine was very overpriced--at least 4X retail. Is that necessary? We were disappointed to see a fee added that we were not informed about: "DFW (6.00%) for $10.50." It should have been explained to us. We did appreciate being in the quieter dining room in the bar area. We did not enjoy the music with a strong bass beat. Why not play soothing jazz or something else that fits with a nice French meal? We also appreciated the paid parking in the IceCube, though we followed our server's advice to "Just scan the back" that had the payment sticker on it. We apparently were supposed to scan the front of the ticket first before scanning the payment sticker. We struggled to get the system to work so we could get out. We had to use the call button to get help, which took several minutes.

First time at LeRoux and it was delicious. The portions were nicely sized and very tasty. We will definitely be back again to dine here. As excellent as the food was, the service was even better. Our server, Hayden, and the other assistants, offered impeccable service and it all really made for an enjoyable evening out.

Music much too loud to have a conversation or for our waiter to understand us. Asked got the volume to be turned down but that did no good. Good was fine but poor ambiance ruined the experience.

To start, LeRoux is a fantastic restaurant and we've always had a great meal there. However, when it comes to Denver restaurant week, I wouldn't recommend going here. The kitchen was very backed up and seemed to have been overwhelmed with all of the Denver restaurant menu accommodations. This resulted in well below average taste and quality of food. For example, I ordered the steak frites ($10 up charge from the menu) and while this steak has been fantastic is the past, the quality was very poor and there was very little taste to the meat (there was also an unusual amount of grey lining the inside of the steak). I would not recommend for restaurant week.
