We were chilling for the first time in the Mile High City, thinking we were heading to the Lion’s Lair comedy club, and somehow Google maps ended up taking us to the Denver Zoo Lion's Lair first—my buddy and I looked at each other like, “We're freeing the lions or what?” Luckily, the real spot was just four minutes away. Cheap drinks, raw comedy, and a dive-bar vibe that will make you laugh, cringe, and maybe fall in love with a comic still figuring out their bits—Lion’s Lair is pure chaos in the best way. Keep an open mind. Make art not war.

Great place. The staff are polite, friendly and they interact with regulars and frequent customers with equal hospitality. Lion's lair had nights for comedy, live music, open mic and (possibly karaoke not totally sure) it's very chill for any size group.

Great service, perfect neighborhood dive without any fuss or drama. Demi and Tony and the rest of the staff pride themselves on truly welcoming everyone, and know lots of Denver history. They have a beautiful well margarita and affordable prices. As an added bonus, I’ve spent many nights here and can say I truly feel safe here as a woman.
