In the past year the food and service at Locanda has declined but they redeemed themselves last night. The food was the best it's been in a very long time and I was reminded why we keep giving the restaurant a chance. They still can't seem to keep staff but hopefully that will improve too.
We have been to this restaurant a few times, and it gets better every time! The owner came out and told us his story of coming over from Sicily and eventually starting up his two restaurants. The pasta is made fresh in this restaurant, and the short rib, mushroom ravioli was excellent! And the gelato (made in house) was to die for. To top it all off, our waitress Lark was incredible! An unfortunate experience this evening. We know that we are expected to pay higher prices, however when you patronize and the meal is not exceptional it is disappointing. I don’t see us going back. For years we have enjoyed the scene here and the family friendliness.
