Crab cakes are mostly corn meal with shreds of crab, mashed potatoes were alright, and the flatiron steak was just not impressive for the price. I hate to say it, but I agree with the previous reviewer. Texas road House is a better deal with equal quality for a better price. On the upside, the beef short rib pasta was very good.

Awesome happy hour food, drinks, and service. Only downside is a 22% service fee that they're not transparent about.

The chef doesn't know how to cook meat! My table ordered 4 filets and every single one was over cooked. My second filet came out blue effing rare. When you order a medium steak and go from medium well to blue rare is beyond me. The manager came out and said they made the first steak to "their" specs. I'm sorry but meat is cooked at temperature. It's not up for debate! You know how to cook meat or you don't and this "steak bar" has no clue. Don't waste your money. Secondly, 2 of my friends ordered scallops with their steak and those were over cooked as well. What a huge disappointment. We easily dropped over $500 tonight on this underwhelming food and will never be back. On a positive note, their bartenders know how to make great drinks! Stop in for a drink and eat somewhere else. ------------ In response to the managers need for a pat on the back for not charging me for poorly cooked meat, I also omitted the part where you told me to take the blue rare steak home and cook it to my liking. That's what I hope for when I go out to dinner, take my food home and cook it myself. You should read other reviews of your restaurant. It's clear many others have had the same experience. I think it's safe to say most people are agreeable and won't complain. That doesn't mean your chef did a good job.

This place has SO much potential to be great!! There are some very good things and some not so good. The atmosphere and the service are very good. Classy, local spot. Truffle fries, onion soup, French dip, flat iron steak, desserts and cocktails were very very tasty. Some of the flavors were fine dining for sure and I'd go back for. On the flip side, one of our steaks was straight rare, the steak salad was a total miss, and my wife said her side salad was the worst salad ever. The oysters were massive and weren't shucked, so you had to pull them out with your teeth instead of sliding into mouth. My family rated the restaurant anywhere from a 5 to an 8 out of 10 when we went around the table. They definitely have a good concept, but need to relook at menu items and get more consistency from the chef. I also have no problem giving a minimum 22% tip, but it's silly when you say "you believe" in a living wage for your people and give a big lecture before my meal. If YOU believed in a living wage, YOU'D pay them more. A forced tip feels like "I believe" in paying your staff not you. That's annoying.

Had an amazing meal here our first night in Denver! We got the following from their restaurant week menu: crab cakes, short rib agnolotti, 10 oz New York strip, 3 cheese risotto, seasonal bread pudding, and pots de crème! All were amazing! We also got the burrata and it was amazing- a must have! The service was also great, Jake was super kind and gave us some local suggestions too!

Lohi steakbar is close to my house, so I decided to try them for denver restaurant week. First of all cause it is Lohi... parking is always going to be hard. We started with the oysters, I loved the onion, horseradish and cocktail sauce it came with. They were so fresh. For my starter I started with the carb cake, the were grilled... I have had better crab cakes and to be honest wished I and gotten the soup and salad choice. For the main of course I had to get the steak, I got it with a peppercorn cream sauce and it was cooked well. Soild steak. I enjoyed the sauce wish there was just a little more. The fries were actually very delicious. For dessert you had a choice of brownie or bread pudding. I don't recommend the brownie it was almost like brittle from a box... I bread pudding was much better and was warm. If you are looking for a solid steak... this place is right for you!

We went here for the first time during restaurant week and I cannot believe we've never been before. My only complaint is parking was super hard. But they validate at a lot only a block away so I recommend parking there and then it's easy! (We did not know this going in) The service is amazing and the manager was so attentive and checked on us multiple times. Our server Katie was the best! Incredible drinks I think we sampled 2-3 cocktails each and they were all so unique and so delicious.... Definitely somethings you don't find everywhere. We also got a very decently priced and good tasting red wine and they let us take the bottle home that we weren't able to finish. During restaurant week they had the option to add Prosecco and oysters to the regular restaurant week option so we did that and I highly recommend starting each meal this way. (This may be an option at all times I'm not sure). The beef agnolotti was the best thing I've eaten all year and possibly ever. It was so tender and delicious and the goat cheese went perfectly with it. I've never had anything so good. The crab cakes were just how I like them with no fillers. VERY GOOD FOOD and good portions. The presentation was also top notch. Both desserts were delicious as well. I can't wait to go back during non restaurant week times. It looks like they also have an awesome happy hour but we were a little too late for that.

The name of this place does an excellent job of explaining who they are. A steak bar. Not a steak house. Not just a bar either. A nice hybrid. Very casual. But nice enough for a date. Don't expect a 5-star dining experience but the service is good, food is too, and I love this place for a happy hour.

LoHi Steakbar is a phenomenal restaurant. I've thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had there. They source most (maybe all) of their veggies from a local farm they own and operate. Their food is incredible. I usually go for bone marrow, crab cakes, a ribeye with garlic herb butter, and then for dessert...more bone marrow. If it's lunchtime, I'm all about that french dip.The owners, Joe and Taylor, really know their stuff. The wine list is brilliant and their cocktails are always mixed perfectly. The menu rotates often and they're always making great changes to pair with the season. 10/10 would recommend.

Awful food. Terrible service. Felt like I was a second hand customer. Then to top it off they tried to sneak a 22% service charge on my bill without telling me. Will never go back.

Decided to go to Lohi steak bar as my girlfriend and I live in the area and my parents were visiting. Service was terrible, she may have touched table 3 times?. I have no problem with auto grat as i'm in the industry but there was a complete lack of accountability from this server. Also a steak house that runs out of mashed potatoes?. Not to mention the food was severely under seasoned. I've never had to salt and pepper my food that much in my life. I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone In Denver or visiting Denver.

Great vibes at LoHi SteakBar! Wish we would've eaten here after we saw the food coming out of the kitchen but still got phenomenal service when we stopped in for after dinner cocktails. All the diners around us looked like they were having a great time. We'll definitely be back for dinner, drinks, and more great times. Thanks for a great end to our Friday night, LoHi SteakBar!

Went there for my birthday dinner on Saturday night. First time there! The French onion soup was ver good, full of onions. I had a 6oz filet which was the perfect amount for me. Best pear mule I've ever had! Had a challenge with finding an after dinner drink but bar tender found a Ruby Port for me which was perfect! Allie was our service person and she was wonderful! Will definitely go back!

The food is great and the service was just as good. They also have a good selection of local brews I would definitely come back

Awesome place! Really good steak and loved the mashed potatoes! Our French onion soup was pretty awesome as well. I'm not a huge steak person all the time, but was so glad I chose well. Our friends loved their meals as well.
