So first off, I don't really get the bad reviews--maybe I was just lucky. It was nice to be able to sit at the tables outside and order through a QR code and have them bring it to us. I had the chicken sandwich with the gochujang sauce and it had a pretty good flavor. It was only a bit spicy as promised and the $12 price tag seemed fair, comparatively. I got the small sweet potato fries for $6 and the portion seemed fair for the price. They were a little oily, like perhaps their oil needed to be changed. The main complaint I have was that the chicken was kinda overcooked and rubbery. Sounds like they need to relearn how long to cook the chicken tenders. If they can fix that, I'd say it was really good.

EDIT: brought the missing medium spice option back
Raised prices for the tender plate from 9 to 11 dollars. They also got rid of the medium spice option, which was my go-to. The new steak fries are pretty good though.

A couple of years ago the chicken strips amazing...that's no longer the case...chicken now has no flavor and not remotely spicy...fries very bland. I think it's under new management...I won't go back again...not worth the effort or price

Had the lou's plus and the loaded waffle fries, it was awesome. I wish the 'medium' spicy was a bit spicier, and the fries were a little crispier, but I ate every bite, and it was a lot of food! Definitely will visit again

My boyfriend gets this once a week and luckily I always get to sample. Delicious fresh and juicy chicken with a nice crispy breading. Get the rooster sauce it’s so yummy! Also their happy hour special for a sandwich is a steal with a ton of flavor. Not sure why there’s so many negative reviews but we’ve never been disappointed.

22% service charge for ordering my food at the counter, picking it up and cleaning after myself??? Don't eat at this scam place, food is not worth it at all.

Chicken tenders were very poor. Breading was like cardboard and fell off the chicken, no real good flavor.

My partner and I had visited and were intrigued by fried hot chicken, both the Lou’s sandwich and the 3 tender combo were underwhelming to say the least, the food was edible however the sandwich was slightly better. Considering the price by the time a 22% service fee, any sauces you would want being extra, this would not be my top choice or recommendation for hot chicken in Denver.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food and service was good. The chicken literally falls out of the breading, which is disappointing. Much more disappointing is the hidden ~20% fee you pay for eating here. The prices are reasonable compared to every other restaurant here, which is why I chose it. However, my bill ended up being significantly inflated, which wasn't indicated anywhere. When I went to pay, the cashier said I didn't have to tip because the tip was already included. This place is probably a lawsuit waiting to happen, I will never return because of their shady practices.

The loaded waffle fries are enormous. Big enough to share with 2-3 people.

Good variety and decent prices for the value and quality of food. Enjoyed fish & chips, a seafood soup, and a beer, all from a couple of venues within the same ground floor location. Excellent for a group where each has a particular taste and price. All the staff were friendly. Worth a repeat visit.
The food is edible but verrrrry greasy and very salty. I would say ketchup is a necessity. They make the food fresh to order, so at least it was hot.I asked for “hot” and the tenders look plain but there is a little spice. I wouldn’t call it hot though.I was the only person at the counter and when my order was ready my buzzer went off. I showed it to the cashier, she held in her hands and hesitated, clearly expecting me to come down and get it. Keep in mind they charge a service fee which is a built in tip. She did end up bringing it to me but when I asked for a fork she made me walk down and get it. Reminder: I was the only person in the vicinity.I will not be coming back.
The price is appealing until the staff tells you there is about a 25% service fee and asks for a tip on top of that. The staff is underpaid if they need tips and the prices are higher than advertised. Get rid of their service fee and pay staff fairly without asking for tips on fast food and this place might be good.
