Absolutely the most top notch food of its kind in Denver. Service was incredible and it felt special to be in the very cool vibe the owners, chefs, and service have created in this kind of formerly dowdy part of East Denver ( I’m from here by blocks, don’t come for me).Special kudos to one of the very classy & patient owners who helped me reconcile my elderly father’s concerns. Extreme patience, kindness, and empathy was given to my father when he was a cantankerous, forgetful hellraiser who deserved to be never invited back. Lucina is full of kind and fun people and deserve every bit of continued success. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Went to Lucina a couple weeks ago for a night out with my wife to celebrate a few different life events.. It was fantastic! The food was incredible and the service was top notch. Our waiter really made our evening fun.We ordered the Paella and it was delicious with so many different flavors in each bite. We usually order paella when we see it in menus and this was our favorite! All out other apps and decks were great as well. Will definitely be going back to Lucina over and over again!

I found the menu here very intriguing as I had never heard of several of the dishes. I spent some time researching before I could decide what I might want to order. That's usually not the case with my jaded palate, so it was fun to try something completely new.I enjoyed a great, properly-composed mojito which is not easy to find in Denver. We started with the empanadas, two very large pastries stuffed with shredded chicken braised in sherry with an herb remoulade. The pastry was perfectly crispy and the chicken was tender and delicious. I did find the portion of remoulade stingy and would have preferred twice as much.We continued with the tlacoyo cochinita, a native dish from Mexico that probably dates back to the Aztecs. This was a boat-shaped corn cake with slow roasted pork, refried beans, salsa macha (a native chile paste from Veracruz), pickled onions, and garlic sour cream. This was also a great mix of flavors with a perfect corn cake and tender meat. Most of the menu is appetizers and "small" plates. Our server proudly explained that the portions were very large. This left us confused and disappointed. We would have very much liked to try two more dishes, but one appetizer and one small plate filled us up. I don't understand the large portions with such an interesting, sharable menu.Other items on the menu wander from Spain to traditional dishes with Mayan and Aztec roots to Puerto Rico and El Salvador. Most of this is street food that has been tweaked and elevated to fine dining. We're eager to go back to try some of the other items.Service was great. Our server was very helpful and had many suggestions. The space is long and very narrow, especially the front with a row of tables very close to the bar. My handicapped friend had difficulty navigating and we had to ask several people to move. The sound level is stupefying. We could barely hear the server and carrying on a conversation was almost impossible. We'd still like to return, although probably right at opening time.Wheelchair accessibility: The space is accessible, but the tables are very close together.

I’ve been coming here for seven months and I love what @lucinaeatery is doing to elevate ethnic cuisine in the Denver area. In the past Hispanic food along with most other ethnic restaurants were mainly a hole-in-the-wall eatery. But chef @razcasi along with @chefcoconati and the entire team are showing us that Latin American chefs, leaning in their rich history and heritage, can compete with the best in the world.Mi gente, if you’ve not been to @lucinaeatery you’re missing out on some of Denver’s finest cuisine. It’s more than food, it’s history, community, and family. Thank you all for making us all proud. @henry_ottrix11 @hannahlavoy#denver #denvercolorado #denversbest #cuisine #latin #mexico?? #argentina?? #food #zanahoria #guavaVegetarian options: They can even make their paella vegetarian for you.Dietary restrictions: Since there’s very little wheat flour in Central American cuisine most of their dishes are gluten free.

It has been so long since I've enjoyed a meal as much as I have at Lucina. My friends and i tried over half the menu for a friends birthday amd every single one was on point. Shoutout to the kitchen, they did an absolutely amazing job. Nakoa was, by far, one of the best servers I've ever had. He was on top of absolutely everything, even managing to modify some dishes for my vegetarian friend to also enjoy. I cannot recommend Lucina enough, and I'll be telling everyone to come dine here. Also, give Nakoa a raise, he deserves it.

Such a great experience at Lucina. Chris, our server, was lovely. Vibe is fantastic — recommend sitting at the bar if you can. Food was so delicious! Ceviche, paella, and tlacoyo all out of this world. And cocktails were awesome too.

My friends and I wanted to try this restaurant because the reviews were solid; we were very disappointed. Our party waited 20 minutes to be seated with a reservation. Lucina offered to comp our drinks for our wait, which was appropriate. Once we were seated and had ordered food, their team told us we would have to move tables and dessert would be comped for our troubles. We did not end up moving, but this massive miscommunication between their staff greatly affected our experience. The restaurant was loud and very disorganized. Lucina decided to provide us with bread as an apology for this chaos. Our server forgot to remove this on the receipt and tried to charge us for something we did not order. Our waiter should have refreshed the water glasses more frequently, and the food was not worth this poor service. I would advise spending your money elsewhere.

On a recent trip to Denver I was finally were able to visit this restaurant after hearing so many good things about it. Since we didn't have a reservation we decided to go early (just after opening) and were seated at the bar (there were no reservations available). The bar service was great. The bar staff were attentive, efficient, and intuitive. The food was delicious. Probably the best meal we've ever had in Denver. We ordered the Paella which was so yummy. We also ordered the Mofongo, the Empanadas, and the salad. All were very delicious. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Denver but it'll take some planning as we hear you need to reserve weeks ahead to get a table.

My wife and I love Lucina. It’s one of those restaurants we get excited for like North or Uncle. Our server, Bryan, and bar tender, Henry, were incredible. Best food and drinks around. Can’t wait to go back.If you don’t believe me, just watch this golf swing and you’ll get it
