Lobster was especially fresh for National Lobster Day. I don't think that the promotion was any cheaper than the regular Wednesday lobster deal, but it seemed that the lobster roll portion might have been a bit bigger. Jo Jo was a great server, cocktails were very good, and the overall experience was exceptional. We'll keep coming back.
We went for a whole lobster and the lobster roll, both of which were delicious. We sat outside because it was too noisy inside the restaurant, and it worked perfectly because it was a warm evening. Our waitress was absolutely outstanding - knowledgeable, available, responsive, never intrusive and warm and friendly. We will definitely come back!
We had a party of six and our service was amazing. We kind of ordering family style and just sharing rounds of food and having drinks. It was a bit chaotic but our server was wonderful. The food was terrific. Curry mussels were so good we ordered a second round
Nice change up from my usual place for oysters! Impeccable service, which is RARE these days. We were super late for our reservation, which was my fault. Still, the hostesses was accommodating without being officious, another rarity. Food was wonderful, had oysters, fries, shrimp and other delicacies. Very fun way to watch CU pull off another impossible win. Will return.
We went on a Friday for lunch and it was great because it wasn't nearly as crazy busy and loud as the evenings and weekends. We had the power lunch and some oysters on the half shell and everything was delicious.
So impressed by the service here! Jackson was awesome and really made this a special event for us; he was knowledgeable, involved and helpful while also letting us enjoy our time alone. We have both been in the service industry and Jackson really stood out to us! Happy hour menu is not to be missed and the Sea Bass dish was to die for. We will definitely be making another reservation at Blue Island Oyster Bar soon
The fresh oysters were fantastic. The lobster and avocado salad was exceptional. The salmon Oscar was way overcooked. Two people had it and it was the same for both. Burnt and dry. The scallop and shrimp risotto was way too lemony. The desserts were excellent.
Brian was our server and he was amazing! He was knowledgeable when it came to the types of oysters and gave great recommendations. We also had lobster rolls and they were delicious. Can't beat the Wednesday Lobstermania deals!
I was celebrating my birthday with my husband. I was welcomed with a nice happy birthday card and all night staff was coming to our table to acknowledge my celebration. I felt great and celebrated. The food was delicious.
Great happy hour menu and specials on different days of the week. They also have a rewards program that is remunerative and a savvy marketing strategy. Quality of the food is always superior and a very friendly wait staff

Excellent from start to finish. We were early and were seated immediately. Great table on the patio. Our server, Ben, was awesome. 3 different types of oysters, deviled eggs with jalapeños, and clam chowder. Prosciutto wrapped halibut with mascarpone spinach. Scallops and shrimp with risotto. Perfectly prepared. We finished up with a pot de crème that was so good that I didn't know whether to eat it or rub it on my face. A couple hundred bucks well spent. Great anniversary dinner.
The oysters were very fresh and great selection. Our main courses weren't good. My halibut was way too dry and flavorless. My husbands fish and chips was overcooked as well. I would go back just to eat oysters though.
We had the warm spinach and crab dip, which had hardly any crab or crawfish tails, disappointing, even more so at $22!! Would not recommend the dish. The trout dip is far better and less expensive. We like the "from the grill" option. We both had striped bass, which was good and the roasted beets for a side, the risotto limone was too creamy for my liking but had lemon flavor. Service was slow as our servers were bartending most of the time. Not sure if that is the norm or if someone didn't show up.
My wife and I have been dining at Blue Island Oyster Bar since it opened several years ago. We chose to celebrate our big anniversary there last night. We each had items that were new to the menu and were amazed at the great taste and presentations.
Had a wonderful girl's day out lunch with a friend. She had oysters and I had the grilled bread, then we split a lobster roll and a nice bottle of brut rose, which was 1/2 off! I'll definitely go back on Tuesdays for the 1/2 off bottle of wine deal.
