Server didn't know what medium plus was and kept saying oh you mean medium well? I said no, medium plus, oh you mean medium rare? No medium plus, oh you mean medium? No. Finally caved and ordered both steaks medium well. One came out well done and the other medium rare. I guess that's what I get for ordering my kids steaks at a seafood restaurant. Also tried to walk in the night before and was told they were fully committed. Went next door to cherry cricket and looked on open table to see they had reservations available in an hour.

Our server and the manager were very attentive. Food was great. My special drink was not a happy hour special, which was just fine. But our wines were not discounted to 30% off as happy hour stated if ordered before 6. We were there at 5. We didn't catch it when paying. Disappointed they did not.

The sea bass and scallop dishes were sub pat. Too much going on - too heavy on the sauce, very sweet and greasy, reminiscent of something you'd get in a buffet. We've been coming to the restaurant since it opened and this was very disappointing.

I was really excited to give this a try during restaurant week. I was absolutely disappointed. The service, except for the nice woman who offered water in our bone dry glasses, not our server, after we finished eating was the worst I have ever had. The aperol spritz I don't think had any Prosecco in in and tasted like nothing. I had to ask for a steak knife which I should have been given with my steak but even after I asked and finally got one I still couldn't cut through the chewy steak. The asparagus and potatoes with it were good. Will not go back

Clam chowder was delicious! Main course was pretty disappointing as the lobster roll had almost no flavor and was on a boring stale piece of bread. The surf and turf was decent. Dessert was also delicious but the key lime pie had zero tartness whatsoever, so I don't think they used key limes. Still tasted good but not what you want for a key lime pie. The blood orange cake was very good.

Had a great time for restaurant week. The drinks and appetizers were on point. The main course (Lobster roll) was slightly disappointing , but not a deal breaker. I would definitely come back for happy hour.

Came here for restaurant week and it did not disappoint. What a value for the money! Unlike some other restaurants, the options were varied and the portions were large. We had the calamari and trout dip to start, surf & turf and lobster roll for the main course, and the key lime pie and orange sponge cake for dessert. Everything was flavorful and big enough to share. We also added on a half dozen oysters and a bottle of wine. The oysters were fresh and as described on the menu. The service was good considering how busy they were. I would like to come again to try their brunch.

Enjoyed the Denver Restaurant Week menu tonight. The steak in my surf & turf was cooked perfect. Great service by everyone we interacted with. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. Looking forward to coming back more often.

Our first time at Blue Island Oyster Bar and we went for Restaurant week. We were delighted at the atmosphere and friendly staff, the food was amazing, the portions were generous and the price was affordable. We will diffenatley be returning soon, most likely on a Wed night for Lobster Roll night!!!

I went for restaurant week with my fiancé and did the pre fixe menus plus oysters and a mock-tail. The food was good, service was very friendly and we had a really nice time. Learned a lot about oysters which I was so curious about and our waitress was super knowledgeable, now I know I prefer salty, east coast oysters. Will def be back for Monday 1.25 oyster night.

Been a customer for years and had to take advantage of the 5280 offer. Although it overlapped the Monday oyster event, everything was up to their usual standards. Highly recommend.!

There were shells in my lobster roll and the crab was tough and not totally worth it. Service was awesome, oysters were wonderful. Need to light up the stick wall and the liquor shelves. They seemed dark and a bit of "closing time" ish.

Always a good, fun time here! Big menu with so many options - and food always reliably delicious. Excellent service - our server remembered our group (we come here every several months) and our beverage order!

Had the very best fried clams I've had in years. Husband's risotto was tasty. Oysters were not a great value and were limited in type to East Coast, so we passed, even though that was the reason we came. Wine list tends to the high priced end. In the end, a nice evening overall.

I enjoy Blue Island Oyster. Although my favorite spot is in Lone Tree. More room and just enjoy the atmosphere. Both places have very friendly servers and take good care of recommendations. Friend's and I come for the great Oysters and happy hour. Been there for dinner as well, would highly recommend.
