From the minute we arrived... our reservation was available, service was fast and pleasant and the food was top notch in a cuisine that is known for being fast food.

You can tell the place is a neighborhood favorite because it was completely full on Monday night. We liked both dishes we ordered quite a bit. I bet their cocktails are good too

Noisy but delicious. Angel hair ramen and amazing bits of grilled steak make for best fried noodle I've ever had. Saturday parking was a challenge but location was perfect for lunch and a Mayan movie.

Service was good. Restaurant is clean. Food was disappointing. Scallion pancake was overcooked and the sauce served with it was very sour. Mozzarella sticks were somehow the best thing we had. I ordered the Spicy Sizzling Noodles with Pork Belly which is supposed to be mala but came out sour rather than savory. The bao buns look good. Would not come back.

The food and portions are great - perfect for enjoying on your own or sharing a few dishes with friends. The only thing I’d change is lowering the music volume a notch or two so people don’t have to shout to hold a conversation. Adding some foam sound dampeners to the ceiling could also help. It’s been uncomfortably loud all three times I’ve been. I can actually feel my stress levels drop when I step outside.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was the best Chinese I have ever had. Everyone in our party loved their food. From the beef stir fry, dumplings, sizzling noodles with pork belly and shrimp, noodles and broccoli it was all delicious. Service was excellent as well. Definitely will return when in the area.

I’m not a fan of Asian food in general but this restaurant exceeded my expectations!! The noodles are very flavorful! And the spices are just amazing. Has vegetarian options which is always a plus for me. Service and the experience was amazing. Fried rice was ok tho maybe not the best thing to get from there.

We went on a very busy night but got seated quickly. Ordered dumplings & bao buns as appetizer which were very good. 👍🏼

However, the main dish I ordered of Tofu & Broccoli Glass Noodles was not.. I actually asked for a replacement entree (which I’ve never done before) but the taste was overwhelmingly primarily soy sauce soaked noodles with a few small pieces of broccoli.

The staff I approached seemed annoyed but they did replace which I appreciated. The replacement entree of Tofu Sizzling Spice Noodles was OK. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The appetizers were the highlight, but left underwhelmed overall considering the price of everything.

Truly great experience all around. The mala noodles especially were perfectly addicting, with fresh texture, perfect flavor balance, and strong wok hei. The Hong Kong milk tea was on point. They do an excellent job blending the classic ethos of this style cuisine from in its eastern roots, with some flavor profiles more classic in the west (like the basil ranch with mala wings, or the corn beef fried rice). The staff were friendly and the owner incredibly gracious and welcoming. The vibe is casual and non-pretentious but with an unmistakable air of true cooking expertise. Cannot wait to return and try everything!

We had such an incredible night at Makfam thanks to attentive service and delicious food! We came around 6:30 on a Saturday night so we were expecting a wait, and we were told about 45 minutes. The wait ended up being a bit longer than that but Sean took care of us while we waited and kept us updated as the table before us finished up.

Once we were seated, Sophia frequently checked on us to answer questions about the menu and ensure we got our food quickly. We shared the Wun Tun Tong dumplings, scallion pancakes, mushroom baos, tofu sizzling spicy noodles, tofu glass noodles, and the tofu stir fry noodles. Every was packed with flavor and it was hard to pick a favorite. At one point, a dish we ordered later took a while, but again, we had very attentive service that checked up on us and kept us updated on the process. We were having a great night with friends so we really didn’t even mind the wait, but we appreciated the helpful service.

Overall, the food was fantastic, the ambience was perfect, and the friendly service tied the bow on top of a great night. Definitely will be coming back!

Excellent food. You can tell that they use really quality ingredients. Grew up in Singapore eating Chinese food everyday and the food here tastes and feels like home but with a modern twist. Great service. No notes. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. My kids also really loved the food!
