I grew up in the backwoods of Tennessee, & I finally found my Denver BBQ spot. Amazingly tender brisket. And hands down the best greens I’ve had in Denver - probably top 3 just under my meemaw’s & Central BBQ in Memphis. The variety of BBQ sauces was also a pleasant surprise. I don’t like being wed to just one type or flavor. And the space is perfect - reminds me of home. Just needs checkered table cloths and a roll of brown paper towels on each table. Seriously - well done. Pictured: my brisket plate with tots & greens. Not pictured: the fried green tomatoes I ordered to-go & devoured before I even got home.

Vegetarian and super meat eater approved! My husband who is obsessed with BBQ loved it, and I loved it because everything was labeled if it was vegetarian or not (most southern food slips in a bit of pork). The jackfruit sandwich on a biscuit was awesome. Really really good biscuits. We will be back with friends.

OUTSTANDING BBQ…. Wow. Owner is super nice and definitely takes pride in this place. Very clean dining area. We ordered the pulled pork platter with the best baked beans I’ve ever had and to-die-for pimento Mac n cheese. Everything was 10/10. Biscuits were flaky and full of flavor. They have a ton of sauces to help yourself to. We will be back!!

I got the mama house special n the bone in wings. Everything was very flavorful. From the pickles,sausage’s, ribs Mac n cheese, greens, bread was seasoned to perfection. You get good quality food for the price you pay. Would be coming back soon.

Quick service. The Nashville Hot Chicken could use more kick but overall the food was flavorful, the staff was pleasant and they got our order out really fast.

Incredible BBQ! Super happy this place went into Steve’s old spot on Colfax! Jodi and Ben are making some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The portion sizes are massive and everything is spectacular! Biscuits, chicken sandwich, pimento Mac and cheese and pulled pork were some highlights. All the sauces are excellent, too. Great vibes and they even serve beer. A new Colfax staple!

Brand new restaurant with amazing food and service. Some of the best biscuits and fried chicken you'll ever have. I was fortunate to try many things on the menu and love it all. Nashville hot, pork plate, fried green tomatoes, and banana pudding pie are some of my favorites.

Great atmosphere with the string lights above, funny pictures of chickens, hanging plants, and friendly staff.

I'll be back and definitely bringing some friends.

Nothing has been lost now that the food truck has morphed into a brick and mortar location. Delicious chicken and biscuits, as well as the return of the banana pie/empanada!

I'm getting the brisket next time.
