Worst Reuben sandwich I've ever eaten. Wrong rye bread, 2 slices of meat, and dry. Seedy gas station didn't help. Off Broadway Cafe isn't far from here and much better Reuben at about the same price.

The deli is inside the gas station, which has been around for decades. It’s family owned and operated (mostly). The folks here are always friendly.
These folks care about how a sandwich is built, which is appreciated. They have an extensive amount of sandwiches they offer, some of which may not be in the displayed menu, but they’ll do whatever you’d like if they have it available. They cut everything fresh, produce and meats. Hot subs are cooked on a conveyor toaster. Bread is sourced locally (the white sub roll is the best).
They also offer salads, breakfast burritos, potato and macaroni salads, and green chili - but I haven’t tried those yet.
Oh yeah, the prices are killer!

They have delicious deli subs, but the construction around E58th is a mess. The construction folks need to do a better job directing traffic. You can get to the deli by traveling westbound on E58th Ave.

I love classic sandwiches where you can actually SEE the meat being sliced, and this place serves exactly that. I ordered a rueben sandwich and a pastrami. Delicious!! They close at 2pm because the deli guy said it’s an industrial area. He said I can place orders before 2pm and they will save it for me to pick up later, such a nice person.

My favorite place for sandwiches. My top 3 are reuben, gyro, and rambo. It’s inside the Conoco, so I usually grab my chips and energy drink too. Fyi, they close at 2pm because they are located in an industrial area.
