The best in Denver. Hands down. I've never had even remotely decent sushi in this landlocked state and this was worth the drive.

We ordered omakase and it really was not that at all. The raw fish portion which was only 1/3 of the courses was not good - didn't feel fresh at all and they also added two courses that were “salad” and “spring roll” and neither were good. The hot food part was actually much better but my expectations were for amazing fresh seafood and I didn't not get that.

The drinks were perfectly crafted. On the pricey side but well worth it. We had a memorable night, superb atmosphere, excellent service and I'd love to thank everyone who made last night so electric. 💙

Second visit this establishment. This visit didn't meet the excellence of my first visit. Of the food is just incredible. The service was less than excellent. Our server seemed a bit rushed and the explanations were hurried and often unclear. The omakase selection provides a great opportunity to experience some great food and the presentation is perfect. The service of this food is important. This trip lacked precision and attention.

Our first time dining at Matsuhisa was a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, and the service was truly exceptional. I especially appreciated the attentiveness of the hostess, who noticed my expression as I was hoping for a different table while waiting for my wife to arrive. She graciously reseated me at another table that was more private, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening with my wife.

From the white fish sashimi was extraordinary, the flavors were perfect!! Lamb chops were THE BEST I've ever had, I don't even love lamb, you must try!!! We order a bottle of Cristal champagne. Sommelier did not even provide us an ice bucket to keep the bottle chilled. Tuna was not good.

Sam helped us through the menu and made some fantastic recommendations based on what we had already eaten, and what we enjoy eating. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of our friends.

The salad we wanted was out of stock, so the server recommended an alternative and stated they would add truffle as that's what we were looking forward to from our original selection. When the bill came, we had an additional $20 charge for 4 shavings of truffle, we never would have ordered that if it was explained. Totally not worth it.
