We've been here numerous times, both alone and with friends. Food is always excellent. Beautifully prepared and presented. Table service generally good but has some minor gaps. Sushi counter we find best if just two people. Always ask about off the menu items. Have always found them worth it. Shaved ice for desert best to be shared! It was super loud on this last visit, way more than normal, mostly because of two tables near us that couldn't help but yell at each other, not restaurants problem just irritating people😒.
Honestly nothing special. A little disappointed. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Food didn't live up to expectations.
The restaurant is amazing , but we were not happy with our server. She was talking too fast with no breaks between different dishes or drinks and expressed annoyances when we asked her to repeat or explain. She was very pushy about everything , including main order, secondary orders, deserts , and finally gave us the check before we asked for it ... my husband still had plenty of beer left . She wanted us gone as soon as possible to free up the table for next guests It was my birthday and I definitely did not enjoy the server attitude, pushing and been fake smiley . This is not typical for this restaurant and we were so down as it is our favorite place to eat in Cherry Creek
The quality and creativity of the menu is truly outstanding. And the servers were knowledgeable, friendly and always available. Matsuhisa delivers a wonderful experience but beware the price level for some of their specialty dishes. And, unfortunately, the noise level is just unacceptable for an otherwise excellent experience
The attention is extremely cordial and the quality of the comfortable, excellent, everything is perfect and the atmosphere is very beautiful and romantic. The staff is very friendly and attentive, for my first experience, they have a 110% in everything, the presentation of the dishes and the flavor are extremely delicious.
Food was delicious, service was truly incredible, and whoever was playing music last night deserves a raise. Can't wait to come back!
This is a very good restaurant but I was disappointed. We have been here multiple times and it wasn't as good as usual. Three of our party had omakase which I felt was less than usual. Two of the dishes were a salad and soup. There was a lack of fish.
Service and food were both amazing. Thank you to the staff for creating an enjoyable dining experience. The staff was attentive and did everything they could to fulfill our requests: from modifying the size of a desert for my 6 year old daughter...to making one of their signature cocktails non-alcoholic just for me. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Special shout out to Ilan, his recommendations were spot on and his friendly banter was refreshing.
Sean MacEnroe Matsuhisa Denver - Wine & Beverage Director was very very helpful! He provided us an introduction to Japanese Whisky! He was extremely helpful was we have a trip to Japan in the fall. Sean provided us with three place to go in Japan for a Whisky tour! Thanks Sean!
Matsuhisa quality is good. Service and ambiance is nice. You pay for the experience. Not outrageous price; not necessarily a good value for what you get.

So many incredibly delicious flavors & dishes we'd never experienced! Had an excellent server who was kind, informative and made our anniversary celebration special. Highly recommend!
We asked Sam to pick our dinner which included several courses of sashimi and sushi. I have a few food allergies and he made it easy to navigate without compromising the taste of the dishes. It was exceptional!
Wife says the yellow tail was not as good tonight. Very tough to chew like it was sitting out for a while.
The food was unique and all of it was very tasty. Fairly pricey place but a very tasty dinner. Our waiter, Michael, was beyond fabulous. I believe he is often the bartender, but he was our server last night. What an asset he is to that restaurant!
We had such amazing service. She made amazing recommendations for us that made our dinner perfect. It's been the best sushi experience we've had. The new age sushi on their menu is to die for. If we lived in town, we would be going back every week for it.
