Was in Denver for a couple days and wanted some good seafood. Food was delicious, we had scallops, prime ribeye,fish and chips, lobster roll, calamari, crab dip and oysters on the half shell. Everything was cooked and seasoned very well. I loved the decor, cute little restaurant, nice outside patio. Parking is limited but we used Valet. Highly recommend Max s gill and grill.

In a city where slabs of beef are the “gourmet” norm, and we struggle mightily to find a good, much less great meal, Max’s Gill and Grill is a standout. The swordfish is a wonder of Mediterranean flavors on a perfect slice of polenta. Fish and chips and lobster rolls show a refined palate in getting the details and flavors just right. There is a great array of side dishes and desserts are divine. This is food to be savored and would be lauded in foodie San Francisco. The bar menu also includes wonderful accompaniments for the food that are rare finds….like a passion fruit marguerita. The service is warm, attentive and responsive and the setting is cozy and charming. Do not miss this wonderful place.

I wanted something different for lunch and having just watched a show on Bruges thought of mussels. This place certainly fit the bill. The menu includes a lot of good seafood options including lobster and mussels. The mussels were perfect for me. The portion size was good and they were delicious. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to try other items.
Service was fast and friendly. The food came out of the kitchen quick too. The space is unmistakably focused on seafood and very comfortable. It's large enough to handle a sizeable number of customers. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for guests.
Parking can be very difficult to find during peak mealtimes, but can be much more relaxed if you can schedule your visit for between meals.

Max Gill & Grill has been a mainstay on my list of favorite Denver restaurants for decades. The food and drinks are always high quality and consistently delicious. Their happy hour is one of the best in town, especially the all-day happy hour on Thursdays. Perfect way to kick off the weekend early. Max's is great for anything from a nice dinner, drinks after work, to hosting special events in their back tiki bar. Highly recommend!
Everything was sooo good! Thursday all day happy hour was great. I had the oysters, the tropical lobster roll, clam chowder, max salad. All were great except the cole slaw which tasted old. My family members also recommend the fish and chips, calamari, fish tacos and the upside down pineapple cake. Yum!!!! (Kids mac and cheese just ok.) We will be back for sure.

I recently held a networking event at the tiki bar and it was a hit! Savannah was our bartender and she was super fun and attentive, the event coordinator Beth made the whole process very easy. Would definitely host an event here again.
