Nice but I would not go out of my way to go again

Went on a weekday night with colleagues for dinner. Kitchen ran out of several dishes, so go earlier if you want the good stuff.

Ordered the duck confit and our table shared the charcuterie. Fantastic and well balanced duck, was not a disappointment. Really enjoyed the bed of lentils over something heavier.

Just stopped for a pastry. Best almond croissant I’ve ever had.

Bring back fruition please!

Great food, great drinks, very accommodating service. Some miscommunications with the server, but it was rectified swiftly. The issue is that the bathroom is shared with the bus station, and seems to be a drug market. Someone OD'd in it while I was there. It was jarring to go from fine dining to drug market bus station bathroom and back. They have enough space to install a couple small single-occupancy private restrooms for restaurant guests near the entrance from the station, and should do so.

Really enjoyed our meal here.

Good food, salads are delicious. Prix fix lunch was convenient and easy for a business lunch. Really nicely designed interior with lovely patio seating option.

Came for a birthday dinner and it was a great experience. The server Alyse was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. She started the meal off right with sparkling wine for the birthday which was a very thoughtful touch. The cocktails were inventive and all of us tried the Sesame, which is Mercantiles take on a whiskey sour. It was well balanced with Woody Creek Rye, sesame (didn't take over flavor of cocktail) along with four other ingredients. It is served with a large cube and I find those to make bourbon drinks the best.

We liked everything we ate. The bread service comes with three homemade rolls with soft and pillowy butter. The cabbage had a delicious slightly spicy crunch with mustard seeds and cooked to perfection. I tried beef cheeks which I can't recall that I've eaten before. They were very tender and served with foie gras which is always a delicacy. It also came with truffled polenta and dandelion greens. The dish is rich and filling.

The only letdown was the dessert. The tiramisu had a major punch of some alcohol which was overbearing and unneeded in my opinion. The cream they use is divine but 3/4 of the dessert went uneaten. I'd recommend a description if veering away from a traditional take on this normally stellar dessert.

The restaurant itself is well run and this is a fine dining establishment I'll return to again.

Just had an incredible lunch at Mercantile — one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The menu is smart and well-balanced: fresh, fast, and perfectly portioned. You leave satisfied and full, but never sluggish. It’s a thoughtful menu — no gimmicks, just high-quality ingredients handled with real skill.

I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked, and the lunch wine pairing was spot-on. Everything was both accessible and elevated — a rare combination.

What really made the experience stand out was the service. My server, Hannah, was fantastic — warm and welcoming without being overbearing, and genuinely knowledgeable about the wine pairings without ever coming off as pretentious.

All in all, a perfect lunch.

Mercantile has an attractive space with an enjoyable menu to select from. Everything was prepared well and the service was very good; knowledgeable and genuine. Stand out dishes for us were the beef cheeks, charred cabbage, and octopus. Lots of enjoyment there! Caviar was also tasty. Spiced carrots were a miss for us; dill forward and not actually spicy. 8/10.

Definitely a good spot for a high quality meal. We’ll be back eventually. Also very gluten free friendly.

Great spot for a nice dinner. We were in town celebrating and everything from service to dessert was top tier!

I was only able to snag one photo but I was busy just enjoying myself. Our server went out of his way to make the night special and I enjoyed every bit of my dining experience here.
