One word: Sensational.

Excellent experience. On time and extremely efficient. Was very interactive with the group and made the experience very comfortable and gave that at home feel. Would recommend any day any occasion.

We had an incredible experience with Mile High Cook Chef Steve Ingber. From start to finish, the night was absolutely top tier.

The food? Unreal.

We kicked things off with the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, and honestly, they were better than most wings I’ve had. Perfect heat, crispy texture, and totally addictive.

For the main, the Korean Fried Chicken completely stole the show. It was crispy on the outside, insanely juicy on the inside, and the flavor balance was next level. Sweet, savory, a little heat — just dialed in perfectly.

The sides did NOT play backup either.
The Parmesan Crusted Potatoes were crispy, cheesy perfection.
The “Crack” Brussels Sprouts absolutely lived up to the name — we couldn’t stop going back for more.

And the Molten Lava Cake to finish? Rich, warm, gooey, and exactly what you want at the end of a great meal.

Beyond the food, Steve himself made the night. Super friendly, hilarious, professional, and he fit right in like he’d known us for years. He elevated the entire experience, not just the meal.

If you’re thinking about booking Mile High Cook — do it. Zero hesitation. We’ll 100% be booking him again.

The best private chef experience. Steven is a great chef and we had an amazing time

Starting with phenomenal flavors, and having amazing professionalism throughout, Chef Steve created an amazing dinner for me and my family. He prepared buffalo cauliflower, Korean bbq chicken, potatoes, and lava cakes. He showed up ready to go and cleaned everything up, leaving us just to enjoy the meal and the vibes. Would be silly to go with someone else.

I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. My friend booked this chef well in advance for her birthday dinner, and we were all really looking forward to a special celebration. Unfortunately, he cancelled just one hour before the scheduled dinner time, leaving us scrambling to find last-minute alternatives on what was supposed to be an important occasion.
What’s even more frustrating is that there appeared to be no backup plan in place. For someone offering professional private dining services, you would expect some form of backup chef or staff to step in during an emergency. Cancelling at the last minute without any alternative solution feels incredibly unprofessional.
On top of that, she has still not received a refund despite the cancellation being entirely on his end.

If I could get less than one star I would. Be aware of
This person and never hire them for any event. I hired this person to cook for my birthday dinner. Prior to the event he was extremely communicative and expressed interest in cooking for my event. As soon as I paid him, he was difficult to reach. This guy cancelled the day of my event, 2 hours prior
To be exact. I was left scrambling and trying to come up with food options for my guests. It was super stressful and extremely unprofessional of this individual. I told him I needed a refund asap and he claimed to have processed one stating that it takes up to 7 business days to process. We are on week 2 since the event and I still have not received my refund. I now have to dispute this charge. Complete scammer. Do not hire!

Update: After posting my review, the owner contacted me and offered a refund on the condition that I remove or change my review. I declined because my review reflects my genuine experience. I was also contacted multiple times in ways that felt intimidating to me, including statements about possible legal action. During these interactions, he said he would reach out to my employer because he believed I had used company equipment. I want to clarify that I have not worked for that company for years, and this appears to be based on outdated information he found online. I’m sharing this update so others can understand the full context of my experience with this business.

Aspen, the chef we ended up working with was amazing. Food was delicious. I will compliment him endlessly for working through a difficult situation with this company with us. Everything leading up to the day was very difficult. I sincerely was not sure we would have a meal or anyone showing up until the day of. When I first put out the request, the company and chef(owner?) responded immediately and called immediately, and gave a consult. I left that call feeling very excited for the dinner and booked that night as they said they were throw in two free bottles of wine if we booked that day. The request for the deposit came immediately, and was also paid immediately. And then I experienced crickets for the next month. A couple weeks later I reached out asking for an invoice for the deposit that I paid, a contract, or any kind of next steps. I heard nothing back. I’ll admit this is my first time doing something like this, and a contract is something I should’ve asked prior to, and that is on me for not protecting myself with that, but I sincerely thought it might be being scammed at this point. As I’d already paid a deposit, I chose to attempt to continue going with this company. I was able to eventually to get them to respond after sending more unprompted messages with ideas we had for a menu. I was finally was sent an intake form, which felt silly filling out, a week before, as I had asked for it months ago and through my own pushing had had a menu sent over. This also coincided with When I was also asked for final payment. When payment was needed was the only time I really felt that I could get a hold of or reach out to the contact and receive a response. The day of I received a text from the chef who would be working with us (this could be a misinterpretation on our part, but in our consult call, I was under the impression I was talking to the man who would be our chef, he never mentioned that he utilized and hired other chefs in the area. Be aware of that. I was also under the impression they would have a person helping them, but I could be wrong). Later that day about an hour before he was supposed to arrive, I received a call from him telling us that he had had to do his own shopping, and somehow there was a miscommunication that groceries would be delivered to our house. He also mentioned it was his first time working with this company. Aspen, our chef did a great job shopping for us. I truly feel he fulfilled the menu he was given and our requests. We also had to ask him to pick up our bottles of wine for us, as it became very apparent that any communication that may have happened with that was completely lost. And I felt that would be easier than trying to get any type of refund for those through this company. Due to this misunderstanding, we had our dinner three hours late, which luckily worked out fine with our schedule, and I sincerely don’t believe it was the chef who actually helped us fault, versus the company. As a whole, I feel lucky that it worked out for us. And we were still able to have a dinner that everybody enjoyed. However, I feel this was due to the professionalism of our chef and I would never work with this company again.
